       5 . The game apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the spaces and the tiles are substantially the same size and shape.

       6 . The game apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the spaces are hexagonally shaped.

       7 . The game apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tiles are shaped to provide a plurality of sides that are configured such that a first tile may be placed adjacent to one or more second tile with one or more sides of the first tile adjoining one or more sides of each second tile.

       8 . The game apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the tiles are hexagonally shaped.

       9 . The game apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tiles further include removable player affiliation indicia.

       10 . The game apparatus of claim 9 , where the removable player affiliation indicia includes a plurality of colored markers.

       11 . The game apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tiles each include a playing face and a reverse face, wherein the playing face has the bonus indicia and the cost indicia, and wherein the reverse face of all tiles is configured such that tiles are indistinguishable from each other when viewed from the reverse face.

       12 . The game apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the resource indicia, the bonus indicia and the cost indicia each indicate one or more of four different resources.

       13 . The game apparatus of claim 12 , wherein at least one tile includes bonus indicia indicating each resource.

       14 . The game apparatus of claim 12 , wherein at least one card includes resource indicia indicating each resource.

       15 . The game apparatus of claim 1 , wherein each tile includes three cost indicia.

       16 . A method of playing a game including a plurality of tiles, each tile including at least one bonus indicia and at least one cost indicia, the method comprising:
 playing a first tile on the playing surface; and paying a resource cost indicated by the cost indicia of the first tile and the bonus indicia of any tiles that have a first predetermined location relationship with the first tile.

       17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein paying includes paying a resource cost indicated by the cost indicia of the first tile and the bonus indicia of any tiles that are adjacent to the first tile.

       18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the playing surface includes a game board having a plurality of spaces and wherein each tile is adapted to fit in at least some of the spaces, and wherein:
 playing a first tile includes placing the first tile in a corresponding first space.

       19 . The method of  claim 16 ,
 wherein the tiles further include removable player affiliation indicia; wherein playing a first tile includes:
 setting a removable player affiliation indicia on the first tile, the removable player affiliation indicia being indicative of a player who played the first tile; and
 if a group of tiles includes more than a predetermined number of tiles, incrementing a score of each player by an amount indicated by a number of tiles in the group of tiles that include removable player affiliation indicia indicative of each player, wherein a group of tiles includes the first tile and any tiles that have a second predetermined location relationship with at least one other tile in the group.

       20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the predetermined number is seven.

       21 . The method of claim 19 , wherein incrementing includes incrementing the score of each player by an amount indicated by a number of tiles in the group of tiles that include removable player affiliation indicia indicative of each player, wherein a group of tiles includes the first tile and any tiles that are adjacent to at least one other tile in the group.

       22 . The method of claim 19 , wherein incrementing includes removing the removable player affiliation indicia from each tile in the group.

       23 . The method of  claim 19 ,
 wherein the game further includes a scoring track having a plurality of scoring spaces including sequentially increasing numeric indicia and a score marker for each player, and wherein incrementing includes moving the score marker of each player from one scoring space to another scoring space.

       24 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the game further includes a plurality of cards that each have an associated resource value, and wherein paying includes surrendering a quantity of cards having collective resource value relating to the resource cost.

       25 . The method of claim 16 , wherein each player executes, in sequence with other players, the steps of placing a first tile and paying a resource cost, and wherein a player may repeat the steps of placing a first tile and paying a resource cost as many times as desired before passing play to the next player.

       26 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the method further comprises:
 randomizing the tiles; arranging the tiles such that the bonus indicia and the cost indicia of each tile are concealed; and forming at least one set of tiles such that the bonus indicia and the cost indicia of each tile in each set are visible to all players, each set including a predetermined number of tiles; and wherein playing a first tile includes selecting one tile from one of the sets.

       27 . A method of playing a game including a plurality of cards that each have a resource value indicated by resource indicia and a selection device operable to produce a selection result from a group of possible selection results, the method comprising:
 operating the selection device to produce a selection result; collecting at least one card indicated by the selection result, if the selection result matches one selection result from the subset of a group of possible selection results, otherwise collecting no cards; and paying a resource cost with one or more cards having a collective resource value.

       28 . The method of  claim 27 ,
 wherein each card has a resource value of one resource and the cards collectively form a plurality of groups of cards corresponding to each resource, and wherein collecting at least one card includes collecting a designated number of cards from a designated group of cards, wherein the designated number and the designated group are indicated by the selection result.

       29 . The method of  claim 28 ,
 wherein the selection device includes a plurality of dice that each have a plurality of faces that include selection indicia relating to the resource indicia, the dice being individually operable to produce a die result indicated by the selection indicia of a face that lies face-up on each die; wherein operating the selection device includes:
 rolling each of the dice to produce a first die result;
 dividing the dice into a first group and a second group, wherein each group includes at least one die;
   rolling each die in the second group of dice to produce a second die result; and wherein the first die results of the dice in the first group and the second die results of the dice in the second group form the selection result; and wherein the subset of the group of selection results corresponds to each selection result that has more than one die result that relates to a common resource indicia.

       30 . The method of claim 27 , further comprising:
