Battery unit

Abstract

According to one embodiment, a battery unit comprises a plurality of battery cells; and a casing having an upper and lower walls. The casing comprises a first portion that stores at least one battery cell; a second portion that stores at least one battery cell; and a third portion that connects the first portion and the second portion to each other. The third portion is at least partially formed to be thinner than the first and second portions. The third portion has therein a rib extending between the upper wall and lower walls.

1 . A battery unit comprising: 
 a plurality of battery cells;    a casing having an upper and lower walls, the casing comprising;    a first portion storing a battery cell;    a second portion storing a battery cell; and    a third portion arranged between the first portion and the second portion, wherein the third portion is formed to be thinner than the first and second portions, and wherein the third portion has a first rib arranged between the upper wall and lower walls.    
   
   
       2 . A battery unit according to  claim 1 , further comprising: 
 a plurality of second ribs;    wherein the first portion has a first wall, the second portion has a second wall facing to the first wall, the second ribs formed along the first and second wall portions and face each other.    
   
   
       3 . A battery unit according to  claim 2 , wherein the third portion is arranged between the second ribs.  
   
   
       4 . A battery unit according to  claim 3 , wherein the first rib is lattice-shape.  
   
   
       5 . A battery unit capable of being mounted in an electronic apparatus, the electronic apparatus providing a component, the battery unit comprising: 
 a plurality of battery cells;    a casing having an upper and lower walls, the casing comprising;    a first portion storing a battery cell;    a second portion storing a battery cell; and    a third portion arranged between the first portion and the second portion, wherein the third portion has a recess portion in a portion overlapping with the component, and    wherein the third portion has a first rib arranged between the upper and lower walls.    
   
   
       6 . A battery unit according to  claim 5 , further comprising: 
 a plurality of second ribs;    wherein the first portion has a first wall, the second portion has a second wall facing to the first wall, the second ribs formed along the first and second wall portions and face each other.    
   
   
       7 . A battery unit according to  claim 6 , wherein the third portion is arranged between the second ribs.  
   
   
       8 . A battery unit according to  claim 7 , wherein the first rib is lattice-shape.
