Abstract

A foldable bed comprises a first, second and third part which are rotatably connected to each other to open as a bed or fold up in a cupboard. The second part is preferably mounted on wheels. The third part includes support means for holding it in a horizontal orientation when the bed is open. A combination foldable bed and cupboard comprises a foldable bed having a first, second and third part which are rotatably connected to each other to open as a bed or fold up for storage in the cupboard. The bed may further include means for holding the first, second and third part of the bed at about a normal angle to each other when the bed is stored in the cupboard.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A foldable bed comprising a first, second and third part which are rotatably connected to each other to open as a bed or fold up in a cupboard.

2 . The foldable bed according to claim 1 , wherein the second part is mounted on wheels.

3 . The foldable bed according to claim 1 , wherein the third part includes support means for holding it in a horizontal orientation when the bed is open.

4 . The foldable bed according to claim 1 , wherein the first part includes means for holding it at one of several angles of inclination.

5 . The foldable bed according to claim 1 , wherein the second part includes a closed storage volume therein.

6 . The foldable bed according to claim 1 , wherein the bed's legs have a dual use, further serving as a writing table.

7 . A combination foldable bed and cupboard comprising a foldable bed having a first, second and third part which are rotatably connected to each other to open as a bed or fold up for storage in the cupboard.

8 . The foldable bed according to claim 7 , further including, means for holding the first, second and third part of the bed at about a normal angle to each other when the bed is stored in the cupboard.

9 . The foldable bed according to claim 7 , further including means for holding the first, second and third part of the bed in such a relative orientation as to form a flat, planar horizontal surface usable as a bed in an open state of the bed.

10 . The foldable bed according to claim 7 , further including means for holding the first part of the bed at one of several angles of a slant orientation so the device forms an easy chair.

11 . The foldable bed according to claim 7 , further including means for holding the first part of the bed at about a vertical orientation so the device forms an easy chair.

12 . The foldable bed according to claim 7 , wherein the second part includes a closed storage volume therein.

13 . The foldable bed according to claim 7 , wherein the bed's legs have a dual use, further serving as a writing table.
