Claims

Abstract

Provided are a polyaniline-containing composition wherein a polyaniline is dispersed uniformly in water or a solvent that gives a coated film higher in conductivity and superior in strength and flexibility when the composition is coated and a production method thereof characterized by dissolving or dispersing polyaniline in a monomer mixture including a vinylpyrrolidone as an essential component and then polymerizing the monomer mixture.

1 . A method of producing a polyaniline-containing composition, characterized by dissolving or dispersing a polyaniline in a monomer mixture essentially including a vinylpyrrolidone, and then polymerizing the monomer mixture.  
   
   
       2 . The production method according to  claim 1 , wherein the amount of the polyaniline blended in the monomer mixture is 0.1 to 30% by mass.  
   
   
       3 . The production method according to  claim 1 , wherein the monomer mixture is polymerized by emulsion polymerization and the polyaniline-containing composition comprising the polyaniline and the emulsion polymer is obtained by the emulsion polymerization.  
   
   
       4 . The production method according to  claim 3 , wherein a surfactant having two or more aromatic rings in a molecule is used during the emulsion polymerization.  
   
   
       5 . The production method according to  claim 4 , wherein the amount of the surfactant used is in the range of 0.1 to 20% by mass as solid matter with respect to the total amount of the polyaniline and the monomer mixture.  
   
   
       6 . The production method according  claim 4 , wherein the surfactant used is a nonionic surfactant having a HLB in the range of 13 to 16.  
   
   
       7 . The production method according to  claim 3 , comprising a step of dissolving or dispersing a polyaniline in a monomer mixture essentially including a vinylpyrrolidone and then polymerizing the monomer mixture, and a subsequent step of blending an inorganic compound therein.  
   
   
       8 . The production method according to  claim 7 , wherein the amount of the inorganic compound blended is in the range of 0.01 to 5% by mass as solid matter with respect to 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the polyaniline and the monomer mixture.  
   
   
       9 . The production method according to  claim 3 , wherein the emulsion polymer essentially includes a polymer having an acid group in the molecule.  
   
   
       10 . A polyaniline-containing composition, characterized by comprising a polyaniline, a dopant consisted of an emulsion polymer having an acid group in a molecule, an inorganic compound and water.  
   
   
       11 . The polyaniline-containing composition according to  claim 10 , wherein the amount of the inorganic compound blended is 0.01 to 5 parts by mass as solid matter with respect to 100 parts by mass of the emulsion polymer.  
   
   
       12 . The production method according to  claim 7 , wherein the emulsion polymer essentially includes a polymer having an acid group in the molecule.
