Telescoping display rack
Abstract
A display rack comprises a display rack comprises a base adapted to be mounted to a wall, wherein the base defines an elongate slot having a retracted end, an extended end opposite the retracted end, a first groove and a second groove, wherein the first groove is positioned between the retracted position and the second groove, and a tray having a fin movable with respect to the slot as the tray slides along the base between a retracted position wherein the fin is generally adjacent the retracted end and remote from the first groove, and an extended position wherein the fin is at the second groove of the elongate slot. The fin preferably extends perpendicular to the elongate slot and the tray is movable to an initial position where the fin is positioned in the first groove. The fin is preferably provided with a first flange with a first width and a second flange with a second width narrower than the first width. The first groove is large enough to allow the fin to pass through, and the second groove is large enough to allow the second flange but not the first flange to pass through.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A display rack comprising, in combination:
a base adapted to be mounted to a wall, wherein the base defines an elongate slot and the elongate slot has a first groove; and a tray slidable with respect to the base, comprising a fin extending perpendicular to the elongate slot and extendable into the slot such that as the tray travels along the elongate slot the tray is on one side of the base and the fin is on a second side of the base opposite the first side; wherein the tray is movable between an initial position where the fin is positioned in the first groove, a retracted position where the fin has moved along the elongate slot away from the first groove in a first direction, and an extended position where the fin has moved along the elongate slot away from the first groove in a second direction opposite the first direction.
2 . The display rack of claim 1 wherein the base further defines at least one opening and the tray further comprises at least one tooth corresponding the at least one opening, and the at least one tooth is positioned in the corresponding at least one opening when the tray is in the retracted position.
3 . The display rack of claim 2 wherein the base comprises at least one ramp corresponding to the at least one opening, wherein the at least one tooth is slidable over the ramp as the tray moves to the retracted position.
4 . The display rack of claim 3 wherein the at least one tooth has a slope which generally corresponds to a slope of the corresponding ramp.
5 . The display rack of claim 1 wherein the tray has a front end and defines a tray slot, and a pusher is slidable along the tray slot and biased towards the front end.
6 . The display rack of claim 5 wherein a pusher base is operatively connected to the pusher through the tray slot.
7 . The display rack of claim 1 comprising a pusher slidable along the tray and a lever lock, wherein the level lock is movable to a locking position where the lever lock holds the pusher in place with respect to the tray.
8 . The display rack of claim 7 wherein the lever lock is pivotably mounted with respect to the tray, and comprises a toe which is insertable into a pusher pocket of the pusher.
9 . The display rack of claim 8 wherein the tray has a ridge running parallel to the direction of motion of the tray with respect to the base, and a gap in the ridge permits the toe of the lever lock to access the pusher pocket.
10 . The display rack of claim 1 further comprising a second groove, wherein the first groove and second groove are generally perpendicular to the elongate slot.
11 . A display rack comprising, in combination:
a base adapted to be mounted to a wall, wherein the base defines an elongate slot having a retracted end, an extended end opposite the retracted end and a first groove, wherein the first groove is positioned between the retracted position and the extended end; and a tray comprising a fin movable with respect to the slot as the tray slides along the base between a retracted position wherein the fin is generally adjacent the retracted end and remote from the first groove, and an extended position wherein the fin is at the second groove of the elongate slot.
12 . The display rack of claim 11 wherein the base has a top and bottom, the tray slides over the top and the fin slides along the elongate slot as the tray slides along the base.
13 . The display rack of claim 11 wherein the fin has a first flange with a first width wider than the second groove such that when the tray is at the extended position the fin is at a second groove, and the fin cannot pass completely through the second groove.
14 . The display rack of claim 13 wherein the fin further comprises a second flange having a second width which can pass through the second groove.
15 . The display rack of claim 14 wherein movement of the second width through the second groove allows the tray to tip relative to the base.
16 . A display rack comprising, in combination:
a base adapted to be mounted to a wall, wherein the base defines an elongate slot having a retracted end and an extended end opposite the retracted end, the elongate slot further defining a first groove and a second groove; and a tray slidable with respect to the base, comprising a fin extending into the elongate slot, the fin having a first flange with a first width and a second flange with a second width narrower than the first width, wherein the first groove is large enough to allow the fin to pass through, and the second groove is large enough to allow the second flange but not the first flange to pass through.
17 . The display rack of claim 16 wherein the tray further comprises at least one tooth and the base comprises at least one opening corresponding to the at least one tooth, wherein the tooth is positioned in the opening when the fin is at the retracted end of the elongate slot.
18 . The display rack of claim 16 wherein movement of the second width through the second groove allows the tray to tip relative to the base.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
