Other embodiments may include the addition of soil amendments, water retention elements, drying elements and the like. Filling may include plastic, various rocks, various stones, pebbles, synthetic materials and the like.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for potting in plant containers comprising the steps of:
providing a pot having a hole at a bottom of said pot; placing an enclosed pouch over said hole in said bottom of said pot; placing soil over said enclosed pouch in said pot; planting at least one plant in said soil of said pot; adding water to said plant in said soil in said pot; substantially preventing said soil from escaping through said hole in said bottom of said pot with said enclosed pouch; and substantially filtering said soil from said water with said enclosed pouch.
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 1 and further comprising the step of a balancing a soil preservation capability with a drainage capability.
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 1 and further comprising the step of locating said hole at said bottom of said pot with said enclosed pouch.
- 5 . (canceled)
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 1 wherein said step of placing said enclosed pouch over said hole in said bottom of said pot comprises the step of placing said enclosed pouch made of a material over said hole in said bottom of said pot.
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 6 wherein said material of said enclosed pouch is selected from a group consisting of cotton, plastic, wool, synthetic fibers, paper, plastic, polyester, cheesecloth, hemp, soy fabric, screens and nylon.
- 19 . (canceled)
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 1 wherein said step of placing an enclosed pouch over said hole in said bottom of said pot comprises the step of placing an enclosed pouch having a filling over said hole in said bottom of said pot.
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 20 wherein said step of placing an enclosed pouch having a filling over said hole in said bottom of said pot comprises the step of placing an enclosed pouch having at least some fertilizer over said hole in said bottom of said pot pouch.
- 27 . (canceled)
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 20 wherein said step of placing an enclosed pouch having a filling over said hole in said bottom of said pot comprises the step of providing a filling selected from a group consisting of expanded plastic, sweater stone, porous stone, natural rocks, synthetic rocks, small rocks, lava rocks, pumice and pebbles.
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 20 wherein said step of placing said enclosed pouch having a filling over said hole in said bottom of said pot comprises the step of providing a pouch having at least a soil amendment.
. (canceled)
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 29 wherein said soil amendment is selected from a group consisting of moss, peat, sphagnum moss, earthworm castings, organic enrichment, perlite, vermiculite, pH amendments, shellfish amendments, soil purification, soil testing, bark, leaves and wood chips.
- 35 . (canceled)
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 1 wherein said step of placing said enclosed pouch over said hole in said bottom of said pot comprises the step of attaching said enclosed pouch to said pot.
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 1 wherein said step of placing said enclosed pouch over said hole in said bottom of said pot comprises the step of placing said enclosed pouch in a drawer of said pot.
. (canceled)
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 29 and further comprising the step of dispersing said soil amendments throughout said soil.
. A method for potting in plant containers according to claim 39 wherein said step of dispersing said soil amendments throughout said soil comprising the step of attaching a string to said enclosed pouch.
- 42 . (canceled)
. A flowerpot drainage apparatus comprising:
an enclosed pouch having soil preservation capability; and filling inside said enclosed pouch.
