Abstract

The Abs Device is designed to be a comfortable exercise apparatus. The apparatus is also designed to allow for independent and separate exercising of the upper and lower abdominal muscles, respectively. With the ability to interchange tension strength, and an angled seat and guided cable system this apparatus is ideal for a maximum abdominal exercise routine.

       4 . An exercise apparatus comprising a freestanding no-back seat by design enabling a concentrated workout to abdominal region of a user; 
 (a) that by constructing the seat with on back support the abdominal muscles are engaged throughout concentric and eccentric contractions of abdominal muscles.    (b) and that by constructing a forward and rear resistance adding apparatus, the abdominal muscles are further targeted by isolation of upper and lower abs with respect to forward and rear resisting apparatus.

An exercise apparatus according to  claim 4 , that by construction and designs of a resistance-adding apparatus allows total workout of abdominal muscles throughout both upright and supine positions of the sit-up exercise, also the exercise apparatus has the added ability to, by design and construction, further allow for the isolation and individual workout of upper and/or lower abdominal muscles by use of forward and rear resistance adding apparatus.  
   
   
       6 . An exercise apparatus that is specifically designed and constructed to target torso area of a user, and by design of a no back free floating seat engages the entire muscle group(s) of the abdomen and assist with hip flexion of the torso. And these muscles include, but are not limited to the rectus abdominis, external obliques, internal obliques, serratus anterior, transverses abdominus, external intercostals, internal intercostals and the diaphragm muscles. This apparatus allows for a total, and, if one chooses intense workout of the torso and all muscles associated with movement from upright to supine potion.
