Container

Abstract

The present invention relates to containers, and more specifically, to plastic containers. The containers described herein may be applied to any use, but they are particularly useful for storing paint.

1 . A device for supplying paint to a paint applicator, the apparatus comprising: 
 a plastic paint container and a plastic lid; the paint container having a main body with a bottom portion, at least one sidewall and a neck;    the neck defining a wide mouth opening and including threads for receiving mating threads on the lid;    the main body having an integral handle for lifting the container, and paint in the container.    
   
   
       2 . A plastic container and lid for storing and dispensing liquid coating materials, the container having a main body with a bottom wall, at least one sidewall and a neck; said neck defining a wide mouth opening and including threads for receiving mating threads on said lid; the lid also having a plurality of lugs extending radially therefrom and terminating at or before said lugs extend beyond said container sidewall when said lid is in sealed engagement with said container; the body also having an integral handle for lifting said container, and the integral handle does not extend beyond the container sidewall; the container and lid having a perimeter which substantially conforms to a perimeter of a conventional metal paint can.
