Abstract

A cup holder with adjustable storage volume and size. When shipping the cup holder, one can retract the cup holder to a smaller size to reduce the cost of packaging and transportation. The cup holder includes an upper cup frame having a cover, a lower cup frame including a cup distributor disposed at the inner surface of the lower cup frame, and a retractable cylindrical sleeve connecting the upper cup frame and the lower cup frame. The retractable cylindrical sleeve includes an undulating wall surface, which can be use to adjust the distance between the upper cup frame and the lower cup frame, thereby adjusting the volume and storage space of the cup holder.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A cup holder, comprising:
an upper cup frame having a cover; a lower cup frame including a cup distributor disposed at the inner surface thereof; and a retractable cylindrical sleeve having extendable and compressible undulant well connecting the upper cup frame and the lower cup frame for storing therein at least a cup when the reactable cylindrical sleeve is expanded.

2 . The cup holder as recited in claim 1 , wherein the upper cup frame comprises a frame body having an upper hollow end and a lower hollow end, the upper hollow end being covered by the cover, and the lower hollow end providing one end of the cylindrical sleeve to be connected thereon.

3 . The cup holder as recited in claim 2 , wherein the upper cup frame has a circular shape, a rectangular shape or a polygonal shape.

4 . The cup holder as recited in claim 2 , wherein a fastening element is disposed on the outer surface of the upper cup frame for installing the cup holder onto a wall.

5 . The cup holder as recited in claim 4 , wherein the fastening element is a hook.

6 . The cup holder as recited in claim 1 , wherein the lower cup frame comprises a frame body having an upper hollow end and an lower hollow end, the upper hollow end being connected to one end of the cylindrical sleeve, the frame body further comprising a cup distributor disposed on the inner surface of the frame body for gripping and holding the top portion of the cup.

7 . The cup holder as recited in claim 6 , wherein the cup distributor comprises a plurality of inwardly inclined elastic foils.

8 . The cup holder as recited in claim 1 , wherein the cylindrical sleeve comprises a long tube having an upper opening and a lower opening, the upper opening and the lower opening being formed to correspond the shapes of the upper cup frame and the lower cup frame, respectively.

9 . The cup holder as recited in claim 1 , wherein the cylindrical sleeve comprises a long tube having an upper opening and a lower opening, the long tube having a undulating tube wall, thereby rendering the long tube being retractable and capable of changing cup holder size and storage volume.

10 . The cup holder as recited in claim 9 , wherein the long tube comprises an upper connection end and a lower connection end, an outer radius of the upper connection end being equal to an inner radius of the upper cup frame, while an outer radius of the lower connection end being equal to an inner radius of the lower cup frame, so as to securely assembling the upper cup frame and the lower cup frame with the long tube using a fastening element.
