Abstract

This severe storm “Storm Safe Hurricane Shelter” is designed as a hexagon shaped vessel that has superior strength to protect the occupants from the elements during peak storm danger. It is fabricated from 3/16″ plate aluminum and only has 2 major different parts. The six side panels and 12 end pieces are designed and fabricated to allow for storage in a very small place close to the use area. In its non-assembled state it will take very little room and be completely concealable to people outside of you and family members. The shelter is assembled, by the user, with the 8 mm fasteners supplied, along its edges every 6″. It is sealed at each seam with special putty.
