Abstract

This invention proposes the existence of an alternate glucose pathway different from that presently accepted and offers different methods of proving this. The proposed alternate glucose pathway considers the cerebral spinal fluid as a major component of the pathway. Based on this, a diagnostic tool for detecting mental disorders and neurological disorders which can not be detected by CT Scan and MRI is proposed. Medications directed at the CSF are also proposed.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method of treating Alzheimer disease in a patient, comprising:
detecting a level of cortisol in the cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF) of the patient in excess of a normal level of cortisol in a non-diseased human, and introducing into the CSF of the patient a medication having a property of binding cortisol to reduce the level to normal.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the medication is introduced directly into the CSF.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the medication is introduced by injection or infusion.
