Golf putter with adjustable head and shaft angle

Abstract

A golf putter with adjustable head and shaft angle to provide a adjustable golf putter that allows for the adjustment of the angle between the golf club shaft and putter head while minimizing the amount of parts necessary to assemble the golf putter and having all parts flush with one another. The inventive device includes a hosel attachment with a guide marking that accepts the golf putter shaft, a hosel screw, a golf putter head with selection markings and a golf shaft. Hosel consists of an attachment that provides a means for attaching the golf shaft to the putter head and a concaved recess portion to accept the hosel screw. A guide marking is provided on the hosel to assist in angle selection. Golf putter head contains a front flat surface and a back section with a concaved recess portion that is pre-measured to accept the hosel attachment end and hosel screw. Concaved recess portion of the Back section of golf putter head also contains selection markings to correspond to the amount of angle degree between the golf shaft and the golf putter head. Golf club shaft with a first end attachment to the hosel and a second end for gripping by the golfer. Alternatively, golf club shaft can be directly attached to the golf putter head.

1 . An adjustable golf putter comprising: 
 an elongated shaft having an upper end portion with a gripping surface and a lower end portion that includes an attachment;    a hosel having an attachment portion to receive said elongated shaft;    a putter head having a back surface with a concaved recess portion,    said hosel having a rounded end portion that fits flush with said concaved recess portion of said putter head;    a plurality of selection markings on said putter head which correspond to a variety of angles between said elongated shaft and said putter head; and    wherein said hosel is attached to said putter head by a screw.    
   
   
       2 . The apparatus in  claim 1  wherein said hosel contains a angle guide selection marking which corresponds to said plurality of selection markings on said putter head.  
   
   
       3 . The apparatus in  claim 1  wherein said putter head has a front surface to receive a golf ball.  
   
   
       4 . The apparatus in  claim 1  wherein said putter head is made of either plastic or metal and can be of a selectable predetermined mass.  
   
   
       5 . The apparatus in  claim 1  where in there is only one opening and one corresponding screw.  
   
   
       6 . The apparatus in  claim 1  where in the angle degree between said putter head and said hosel is adjustable. The range of said angle degree being limited to a maximum of 25 degrees in either direction.  
   
   
       7 . The apparatus in  claim 1  where said hosel has a concaved recess portion to receive said screw.  
   
   
       8 . The apparatus in  claim 7  where said hosel and said screw sit flush with one another.  
   
   
       9 . An adjustable golf putter comprising: 
 an elongated shaft having an upper end portion with a gripping surface and a lower end portion that includes a rounded region that is directly attachable to a putter head;    said putter head having a back surface with a concaved recess portion to receive said rounded region of said elongated shaft;    a plurality of selection markings on said putter head that corresponds to the degree angle between said putter head and said elongated shaft;    a guide selection marking on said rounded region of said elongated shaft which corresponds to said plurality of selection markings;    said rounded region of said elongated shaft having a concaved recess portion to receive a screw;    said screw sits flush with said rounded region of said elongated shaft;    said rounded portion of said elongated shaft sits flush with said concaved recess portion of said back surface of putter head;    said putter head having a front surface to receive a golf ball;    said degree angle between said putter head and said elongated shaft is adjustable;    said degree angle is limited to a maximum of 25 degrees in either direction from the default zero degree position; and    wherein said rounded region of said elongated shaft and said putter head are attached by said screw.    
   
   
       10 . The apparatus in  claim 1  where said putter head and said hosel contain a plurality of serrations approximately 5 degrees apart.
