Fungicidal combinations comprising glyoxalic acid methyl ester-o-methy-loxime derivatives

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of combating phytopathogenic disease on crop plants by applying to the crop plants and/or the locus thereof an effective amount of a combination of a) 2-[α-{[(α-methyl-3-trifluoromethyl-benzyl)imino]-oxy}-o-tolyl]-glyoxalic acid methyl ester-O methyloxime (I) and b) one or more other plant fungicides. These combinations exhibit synergistic fungicidal activity and are particularly effective in combating and/or preventing diseases of crop plants.

       11 . A method of combating phytopathogenic disease on crop plant comprising applying to the crop plant and/or its locus a synergistic fungicidally effective amount of a combination comprising 
 (a) 2-[α-{[(α-methyl-3-trifluoromethyl-benzyl)imino]-oxy)-o-tolyl]-glyoxalic acid methyl ester-O-methyloxime; and    (b) and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a carbamate of formula IIC                        wherein    X is CH, and    R 2  is 4-CH 3 , 4-Cl, or 2,4-dichloro;      a compound IID 
 methyl(2)-2-{2-[6-(trifluoromethyl)pyrid-2-yloxymethyl]-phenyl}-3-methoxyacrylate;  
   a compound IIE 
 (E)-N-methyl-2-[2-(2, 5-dimethylphenoxymethyl)phenyl]-2-methoxy-iminoacetamide;  
   a compound of formula IIF                        wherein R 3  is methyl or ethyl;      an (S)-valinamide of formula IIG                        wherein    R 4  is isopropyl, sec-butyl, or tert-butyl,    R 5  is 4-chlorophenyl, 4-methylphenyl, 4-methoxyphenyl, or β-naphthyl, and    the asterisk denotes an asymmetric center;      a (S)-valinamide of formula IIH                        wherein    R 6  is isopropyl, sec-butyl, or tert-butyl,    R 7  is halogen, methyl, or methoxy, and    n is 0,1, or 2;      a compound IIJ
