Abstract
Feature amounts of faces of visitors photographed at a first gate are registered in a registration section in relation to entrance permission time information items each of which defines a period of time during which entrance through a second gate provided inside the first gate is permitted. At the second gate, the face of the visitor is photographed and the feature amount of the photographed face of the visitor is collated with the face feature amounts registered in the registration section. Entrance through the second gate is controlled based on the result of collation and the entrance permission time information registered in the registration section.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An entrance management apparatus which manages entrance through a gate, comprising:
an image input section which acquires a face image of a visitor at the gate, a face detecting section which detects a face feature amount based on the face image acquired by said image input section, an image recording section which records the face image acquired by said image input section in the case where the face feature amount is detected by said face detecting section, and an access control section which permits access through the gate only in the case where the face feature amount is detected by said face detecting section.

The entrance management apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said access control section is a call signal generating section which generates a call signal used to call a to-be-visited person in response to a specification by a visitor only in the case where the face feature amount is detected by said face detecting section.
3 .
