Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A method for applying advertising media to a first side of a portable toilet unit, the method comprising:
non-permanently adhesively affixing an advertising media to an outer surface of the first side of the portable toilet unit, the advertising media being sized to cover a majority of the first side of the portable toilet unit.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the advertising media includes adhesive for affixing the advertising media to the portable toilet unit, wherein the advertising media includes a protective liner that covers the adhesive prior to the advertising media being affixed to the portable toilet unit, and wherein the protective liner is gradually removed concurrent with the advertising media being adhesively affixed to the first side of the portable toilet unit.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the advertising media includes a panel having a height and a width, the width being sized to extend only partially around a perimeter of the portable toilet unit.

. The method of claim 3 , wherein the first side of the portable toilet unit has a width, and wherein the panel has a width that generally coincides with the width of the first side.

. The method of claim 4 , wherein after advertising indicia has been printed on the panel, the panel is trimmed to coincide generally with the size of the first side.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the portable toilet unit has molded plastic walls, and wherein the outer surface of the first side of the portable toilet unit includes texturing, and wherein the advertising media is adhered over the texturing.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the advertising media covers at least 75 percent of the first side of the portable toilet unit.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the advertising media covers substantially all of the first side of the portable toilet unit.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein after the advertising media has been affixed to the portable toilet unit, a portion of the advertising media is cut away and removed to uncover an element of the portable toilet unit.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the structure includes a vent.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the structure includes underlying signage.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first side of the portable toilet unit includes a door, and wherein after the advertising media has been affixed to the portable toilet unit, the advertising media is cut to allow for the door to open and close.

. The method of claim 12 , wherein the outer surface of the first side of the portable toilet unit includes a first portion defined by the door and a second portion that at least partially surrounds the door, and wherein the advertising media covers a majority of the first portion of the outer surface and a majority of second portion of the outer surface.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the portable toilet unit is generally rectangular in shape and includes a front side, a back side, a left side and a right side, wherein the first side is the front side of the portable toilet unit, wherein the front side includes a door for accessing the portable toilet unit, and wherein the advertising media includes a first panel having a length and a width that coincide generally to a length and a width of the front side of the portable toilet unit.

. The method of claim 14 , wherein the advertising media further includes second, third and fourth separate panels that are respectively separately affixed to the back side, left side and right side of the portable toilet unit, the panels being sized to generally coincide with the sides of the portable toilet unit to which they are affixed.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the advertising media is affixed to the portable toilet unit with removable adhesive.

. The method of claim 14 , wherein the first panel is affixed to the front side of the portable toilet unit with removable adhesive.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first side of the portable toilet unit includes depressions and projections for reinforcing the first side of the portable toilet unit, and wherein the advertising media bridges the depressions to provide a generally planar display at the first side.

. The method of claim 18 , wherein the projections include ribs and the depressions include channels.

. A method for applying advertising media to the outer sides of portable toilet units, the method comprising:
providing panels; printing advertising on the panels; and adhering the panels to the sides of portable toilet units, wherein the panels are trimmed after the advertising is printed on the panels so that the panels have sizes that generally match the sizes of the sides of the portable toilet units to which the panels are adhered.

. The method of claim 20 , wherein the panels are four foot by seven foot prior to trimming.

. The method of claim 20 , wherein the panels are backed with removable adhesive

. A method for converting adjacent portable toilet units into an advertising medium, the each portable toilet unit having a front side including a door, the front side including an outer surface including a first portion defined by the door and a second portion that at least partially surrounds the door, the method comprising:
non-permanently adhesively affixing advertising media to the outer surfaces of the front sides of the adjacent portable toilet units, the advertising media covering a majority of the first portions of the outer surfaces and a majority of second portions of the outer surfaces; and wherein after the advertising media is affixed to the adjacent portable toilet units, the advertising media defines a mural type display that generally coincides with the front sides of the adjacent portable toilet units.

. The method of claim 23 , wherein the advertising media defines a single image having portions provided on each of the adjacent portable toilet units.

. The method of claim 23 , wherein the mural type display coincides with at least three consecutively positioned portable toilet units.

. The method of claim 20 , wherein the mural type display is defined by separate panels adhered to each of the portable toilet units.
