Abstract

A furniture frame and a furniture frame bracket wherein the furniture frame bracket comprises a bracket main body having a surface for engaging a portion of a furniture frame and a leg for supporting a linkage between a first section and a second section of a furniture frame.

1 . A convertible furniture frame comprising: 
 a first section having a first side, a second side, and a cross panel member linking said first side to said second side of said first section;    a second section having a first side, a second side, and a cross panel member linking said first side to the second side of said second section;    a pin extending through said first side of said first section and said first side of said second section with said pin having a free end;    a furniture frame bracket comprising a bracket main body and a leg, said bracket main body secured to said furniture frame, said leg engageably supporting said free end of said pin.    
   
   
       2 . The furniture frame of  claim 1  wherein said bracket main body of said furniture frame bracket is secured to said cross panel member of said first section.  
   
   
       3 . The furniture frame of  claim 1  wherein said bracket main body of said furniture frame bracket is secured to said cross panel member of said second section.  
   
   
       4 . The furniture frame of  claim 1  wherein said leg of said bracket main body includes an orifice for the extension of said pin therethrough.  
   
   
       5 . The furniture frame of  claim 1  wherein said leg of said furniture frame bracket include a surface which cooperate with said first side of said first section to sandwich said first side of said second section therebetween or cooperate with said second side of said first section to sandwich said second side of said second section therebetween.  
   
   
       6 . The furniture frame of  claim 1  including a locking member maintaining the engagement of said pin to said first side of said first section and said first side of said second section.  
   
   
       7 . A furniture frame comprising: 
 a first section having a first side and a second side;    a second section having a first side and a second side;    a first furniture frame bracket comprising a bracket main body resting against the first section proximal the first side of the first section and a leg supporting a linkage between the first side of the first section and the first side of the second section; and    a second furniture frame bracket comprising a bracket main body resting against the first section proximal the second side of the first section and a leg supporting a linkage between the second sides of the first section and the second section.    
   
   
       8 . The furniture frame of  claim 7  wherein the first section comprises a backrest section and the second section comprises a seat section.  
   
   
       9 . The furniture frame of  claim 7  wherein the first section comprises a seat section and the second section comprises a seat section a backrest section.  
   
   
       10 . The furniture frame of  claim 7  including a first locking member maintaining the linkage between the first side of the first section and the first side of the second section and a second locking member maintaining the linkage between the second sides of the first section and the second section.  
   
   
       11 . The furniture frame of  claim 7  wherein the bracket main body of the first furniture frame bracket rest against an end surface of the first side of the first section and the bracket main body of the second furniture frame bracket rest against an end surface of the second side of the second section.  
   
   
       12 . The furniture frame of  claim 7  wherein the first leg of the first furniture frame bracket is located between the first side of the first section and the first side of the second section and the leg of the second furniture frame bracket is located between the second side of the first section and the second side of the second section.  
   
   
       13 . The furniture frame of  claim 7  wherein the bracket main body of the first furniture frame bracket rest against a cross panel member of the first side of the first section and the bracket main body of the second furniture frame bracket rest against a cross panel member of the second side of the second section.  
   
   
       14 . The furniture frame of  claim 7  wherein the linkage between the first side of the first section and the first side of the second section comprises a protruding member extending through the first sides of the first section and second section and the linkage between the second side of the first section and the second side of the second section comprises a protruding member extending through the second sides of the first section and second section.  
   
   
       15 . A furniture frame comprising: 
 a first section having a first side and a second side;    a second section having a first side and a second side;    a first furniture frame bracket comprising a bracket main body resting against the first section proximal the first side of the first section and a leg pivotably linking the first section to the second section; and    a second furniture frame bracket comprising a bracket main body resting against the first section proximal the second side of the first section and a leg further pivotably linking the first section and the second section.    
   
   
       16 . The furniture frame of  claim 15  wherein the first section comprises a backrest section and the second section comprises a seat section.  
   
   
       17 . The furniture frame of  claim 15  wherein the leg of the first furniture frame bracket is pivotably attached to the first side of the second section and the leg of the second furniture frame bracket is pivotably attached to the second side of the second section.  
   
   
       18 . The furniture frame of  claim 17  wherein the leg of the first furniture frame bracket is located within a slot of the first side of the second section and the leg of the second furniture frame bracket is located within a slot of the second side of the second section.  
   
   
       19 . The furniture frame of  claim 15  wherein the first furniture frame bracket includes a second leg resting against the first section proximal the first side of the first section and the second furniture frame bracket includes a second leg resting against the first section proximal the second side of the first section.  
   
   
       20 . The furniture frame of  claim 15  wherein the first furniture frame bracket includes a second leg located between the first side of the first section and the first side of the second section and the second furniture frame bracket includes a second leg located between the second side of the first section and the second side of the second section.
