Abstract

Providing a adjustable lid with an opening and closing cap to seal of boxes of different sizes with or without a bag inside (like a cereal box) that allows the user to easily open and close a box with the bag inside containing a content without having to repeat the laborious procedure of opening and closing the box and bag inside the box every time he wants to pour the content that is in the bag. Allowing the user to seal of a box with a bag inside so he can keep and preserve the content in the original package. Providing an in size adjustable lid with a dispensing opening and a hinged closing cap to better pour the content such as cereals without spilling them. The device preferably comprising a lid having a rectangular configuration, preferably comprising two main parts that can slide into or onto each other. Both parts having a top portion with at least three exterior sidewalls/rims and a dispensing opening in said top portions, one part having a wall/rim around its dispensing opening with a closure cap. At least one extending limb on the inner side, said extending limb (s) preferably extending downwardly longer than the exterior wall/rim. At least one of said lid parts having a dispensing opening surrounded by an apron/rim and a hinged cap that fits over the dispensing opening

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A lid to seal of a plurality of boxes of different sizes comprising at least two main movably interconnected parts having a top and opposite bottom surface, said bottom surface having an outer wall at least partially around its periphery, said parts comprising:
a means for adjusting and removeably attaching said lid onto a plurality of different boxes of different sizes.

2 . The lid of claim 1 wherein at least one of said main parts can slide.

3 . The lid of claim 1 wherein at least one of said main parts having a cap fitting an opening.

4 . The lid of claim 3 wherein said cap is hingedly engaged with the top of at least one of said main lid parts.

5 . The lid of claim 3 wherein said cap is integrally formed with at least one of said main lid parts.

6 . The lid of claim 1 wherein at least one side of the periphery of the top surface of at least one main lid part comprises a round shape.

7 . The lid of claim 1 wherein said parts at least having one protrusion extending downwardly longer than the outer wall.

8 . The lid of claim 1 wherein at least one of said parts having a protrusion forming a channel in its bottom surface, at least partially extending around the periphery of said bottom surface.

9 . The lid of claim 8 wherein at least one protrusion extends downwardly longer than the outer wall.

10 . The lid of claim 1 wherein at least one of two said main parts are spring-biased.

       11 . A method for sealing of a plurality of boxes of different sizes comprising the steps of: Providing a lid comprising at least two main parts, said parts having a top with opposite bottom surface, said bottom surfaces having an outer wall at least partially around its periphery; a means for adjusting said two parts to the depth size of a plurality of boxes of different sizes, at least one of said main parts comprising at least one opening with at least one closing cap in its top surface;
Providing at least one protrusion depending downwardly from the bottom surface of at least one of said parts; Compressing both lid parts together, placing said lid with said protrusion into said box, adjusting said lid to the depth size of said box, pressing and snapping said lid over the sides of said box, opening said closure cap to start pouring cereals, closing said closure cap when finished pouring.

12 . A in size adjustable lid to seal of a plurality of boxes of different sizes having a rectangular top with opposite bottom surface, said bottom surface having an outer wall around the periphery of said bottom surface, said outer wall depending downwards, said lid comprising:
 (a) at least one stretchy material and one rigid material; (b) a channel at least partially formed around the periphery of the underside of said lid; (c) a cap fitting an opening in said lid.

13 . The lid of claim 12 wherein at least one protrusion in said bottom surface is forming a channel with the outer wall at least partially around the periphery of the bottom surface of said lid.

14 . The lid of claim 12 wherein said stretchy material comprises silicone.

15 . The lid of claim 12 wherein said cap is comprising a rigid material.

16 . The lid of claim 13 wherein said protrusion extends downwardly longer than the outer wall.

17 . The lid of claim 12 wherein two longitudinally side sections comprising a rigid material and a middle section comprising a stretchy material.

18 . The lid of claim 12 wherein said cap is hingedly engaged with the top of at least one of said main lid parts.

19 . The lid of claim 12 wherein the rigid and stretchy material are formed in one same mold.

20 . The lid of claim 12 wherein the lid is stretched to fit over a plurality of boxes having different sizes.
