Apparatus for carrying a munitions container

Abstract

So that on ships a manual transport of munitions containers is possible with security in narrow space conditions from a munitions supply to a gun, the munitions container, as a carrying element includes a band which at one end is permanently connected with the munitions container and which at its other end for an adjustment to a variable and useful for transport free band length is detentably insertable into a several detent positions of the munitions container. The band in the transport position forms a loop which allows for transport on backs. In a rest position, for example in the storage position, the band takes on a position of being integrated into the container.

An apparatus for carrying a munitions container, characterized in that as the carrying element a band is provided, that one end of the band is permanently connected with the munitions container and that the munitions container has several detent positions into which the other end of the band is dentably insertable to provide for an adjustment of a variable and usable for carrying free band length.

An apparatus according to  claim 1 , further characterized in that a preferably cylindrical detent bar is connected to the loose end of the band, which detent bar is detentably insertable into a detent position of the munitions container which detent position has a contour conforming to that of the detent bar.

An apparatus according to  claim 1 , further characterized in that the permanently fixed end of the band is arranged on one container half outer side and the detent positions into which the toggle bar arranged on the free end of the band is insertable are located on the outer side of the other container half.

An apparatus according to  claim 1  further characterized in that the detent positions are so arranged on a container half, that at the opposite end of the outer side ( 12 ) from the permanent band connection an opening for the band begins and proceeds through both container halfs so that the band is variably detentably insertable into the different detent positions.  
   
   
       5 . An apparatus according to  claim 1  further characterized in that band is arranged in recesses on the outer side of each container half.  
   
   
       6 . An apparatus according to  claim 1  further characterized in that the recesses have gripping depressions for the gripping of the band.  
   
   
       7 . An apparatus according to  claim 1  further characterized that for a completely inwardly drawn band  2  the toggle bar  3  is detentably insertable into a further detent position.  
   
   
       8 . An apparatus according to  claim 1  further characterized in that the band is preferably a flat textile band.  
   
   
       9 . An apparatus according to  claim 1  further characterized in that a band is arranged in the longitudinal direction on the container halfs and in the transport position forms a loop the axial span length of which loop corresponds nearly to the total container length.
