Abstract
A game of chance for a gaming machine is controlled by a processor in response to a wager. The game of chance includes a basic game and one or more bonus games. The basic game randomly selects one of a plurality of possibly outcomes. The plurality of possible outcomes includes one or more start-bonus outcomes for triggering respective ones of the bonus games. The bonus games have a game show theme and preferably include randomly selected pricing indicia representing the price of one or more fictional or non-fictional objects.

23 . A method of conducting a wagering game on a gaming machine, comprising:
(i) receiving a wager to play the wagering game; (ii) randomly selecting a number from a plurality of numbers; (iii) receiving a selection from a player as to whether the randomly selected number is higher or lower than a hidden number, and (iv) awarding a player an award in response to the selection being a correct selection.
24 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising repeating acts (ii), (iii), and (iv) for additional hidden numbers.
25 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising ending the wagering game in response to the selection being an incorrect selection.
26 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising revealing the hidden number in response to the randomly selected number matching the hidden number.
27 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising awarding the player an award in response to the randomly selected number matching the hidden number.
28 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the step of randomly selecting is illustrated by rolling a die.
29 . A gaming machine for playing a wagering game, the gaming machine comprising:
an input device for receiving inputs from a player during the wagering game, the inputs including a wager amount; and at least one display for displaying a plurality of hidden numbers, the at least one display also displaying a first randomly selected number; wherein the display displaying at least two options for the player to select and, in response to the player choosing a correct one of the at least two options, the player being awarded an award.
30 . The gaming machine of claim 29 , wherein the plurality of hidden numbers correspond to a price of an object.
31 . The gaming machine of claim 29 , wherein the first randomly selected number is displayed on a die.
32 . The gaming machine of claim 29 , wherein the at least one display displays an animated sequence in response to the first randomly selected number being displayed and the animated sequence includes a die rolling across the at least one display.
33 . The gaming machine of claim 29 , wherein the wagering game is a bonus game that is triggered by a basic game.
34 . The gaming machine of claim 29 , wherein, in response to the player choosing a correct one of the at least two options, the display displaying a second randomly selected number.
35 . The gaming machine of claim 34 , wherein, the display displays at least two options for the player to select and, in response to the player choosing a correct one of the at least two options, the player being awarded a second award.
36 . A method of conducting a wagering game on a gaming machine, the wagering game having a basic game and a bonus game, the method comprising:
conducting the basic game on at least one display, the basic game including a randomly selected outcome; in response to the randomly selected outcome being a bonus-game entering outcome, displaying the bonus game, the bonus game including a first hidden number and a second hidden number; randomly selecting a first number from a plurality of numbers; providing the player with at least two selections; in response to the player choosing a correct one of the at least two selections, randomly selecting a second number from a plurality of numbers; providing the player with at least two additional selections; and in response to the player choosing a correct one of the at least two additional selections, providing an award to the player.
37 . The method of claim 36 , wherein, in response to the first randomly selected number matching the first hidden number, displaying the first hidden number.
38 . The method of claim 36 , wherein, in response to the first randomly selected number not matching the first hidden number and the player choosing an incorrect one of the at least two selections, ending the bonus game.
39 . The method of claim 38 , wherein, in response to the bonus game ending, the player is awarded a consolation prize.
40 . The method of claim 36 , wherein, in response to the first randomly selected number not matching the first hidden number and the player choosing the correct one of the at least two selections, revealing the first hidden number.
41 . The method of claim 36 , wherein the bonus game includes a plurality of hidden numbers, and, for each of the plurality of hidden numbers, the player must select whether a corresponding randomly selected number is higher or lower than a corresponding one of the plurality of hidden numbers.
