Abstract
A low slung tool belt carrier includes pouches designed to be suspended from a belt strap construction with a shoulder strap crossing over the torso or shoulders to support the larger of two pouches, the pouches arranged to fit on the hips or be rested upon the hips of an individual. Alternate constructions incorporate handles for carrying the pouches and fasteners for combining pouches. Various alternative combinations of tool belts, waist straps, handles, carry straps, pouches and pockets enable customization of a tool belt for individual workmen.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A tool carrier comprising, in combination:
a belt, said belt including a first strap section having a buckle element at one end and a free opposite end, and a second strap section having a buckle element end and a free end, said strap sections including respectively a hook and loop facing for joining the sections to an adjustable length; and at least one tool carrier pad, said pad including a plurality of attachment loops for receipt of the belt.
2 . The carrier of claim 1 wherein at least one of said strap sections includes indicia representing the combined length of the straps when joined.
3 . The carrier of claim 1 further including at least two tool carrier pads, each pad including loops for receipt of the belt.
4 . The carrier of claim 3 further including an auxiliary connecting pad connectable to the two tool carrier pads simultaneously by a fastener mechanism to control the spacing of said pads on the belt.
5 . The carrier of claim 3 wherein the fastener mechanism comprises a hook and loop mechanism.
6 . The carrier of claim 4 wherein the connecting pad includes at least one loop for receipt of the belt.
7 . The carrier of claim 4 wherein the belt is comprised of more than two connected strap sections.
8 . The carrier of claim 1 wherein the pad includes at least one ring for support of a tool pouch.
9 . The carrier of claim 1 wherein the pad includes at least one ring for attachment of a suspenders element.
10 . A tool carrier comprising, in combination:
a belt including opposite ends, each having a buckle element to attach the ends together; a first tool carrier pad including belt loops for receipt of the belt; a second tool carrier pad including belt loops for receipt of the belt; and an auxiliary pad adjustably connectable by a fastening mechanism to the first and second tool carrier pads to thereby control the spacing of said tool carrier pads on the belt.
11 . The tool carrier of claim 10 wherein the fastening mechanism is a hook and loop mechanism.
12 . The tool carrier of claim 10 including rings on at least one of said pads for attachment of a tool pouch.
13 . The tool carrier of claim 10 including rings on more than one pad for attachment of tool pouches.
14 . The tool carrier of claim 10 including rings on said pads for attachment of suspenders.
15 . The tool carrier of claim 10 wherein said belt is comprised of more than one strap section adjustably connected together.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
