Cooler door shelf device
Abstract
A shelf device for mounting on an inside surface of a cooler door comprises a bottom panel and left and right mounting flanges connected to the bottom panel along left and right side edge portions thereof. Each flange has a pair of openings therein vertically spaced from one another and adapted to mount and support the shelf device. A partition panel is connected to the bottom panel and divides the bottom panel into a plurality of compartments. Vertically extending ribs are attached to the partition panel at junctions of adjacent compartments. A display panel is spaced from the bottom panel and attached to the ribs. The display panel includes top and bottom lips forming a slot for slidably receiving a display insert. Ventilation openings in the partition panel increase air circulation
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A shelf device for an inside surface of a cooler door, comprising:
a bottom panel having front, rear, left and right side edge portions; a left mounting flange connected to said bottom panel along said left side edge portion and extending upward therefrom, said left mounting flange having a pair of left keyways therein vertically spaced from one another and adapted to mount and support said shelf device, said left flange defining a left recess; a right mounting flange connected to said bottom panel along said right side edge portion and extending upward therefrom, said right mounting flange having a pair of right keyways therein vertically spaced from one another and adapted to mount and support said shelf device, said right flange defining a right recess, said left and right recesses each having a depth; a partition panel connected to said bottom panel and said left and right mounting flanges dividing said bottom panel into a plurality of compartments; and a display panel spaced from said bottom panel and attached to said left and right recesses and extending therebetween.
2 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said left recess is positioned between said pair of left keyways.
3 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said right recess is positioned between said pair of right keyways.
4 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said display panel includes top and bottom lips forming a slot for slidably receiving a display insert.
5 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 1 , wherein a front portion of said partition panel is spaced from a front portion of said bottom panel.
6 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 1 , including a plurality of vertically extending ribs attached to said partition panel at junctions of adjacent compartments, said ribs being spaced from a front portion of said bottom panel.
7 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 6 , wherein said ribs are spaced from said front portion a distance at least as great as the depth of said left and right recesses.
8 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said partition panel defines at least one opening in each of said compartments.
9 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 8 , wherein said display panel is attached to said left and right mounting flanges.
10 . A shelf device for an inside surface of a cooler door, comprising:
a bottom panel having front, rear, left and right side edge portions; a left mounting flange connected to said bottom panel along said left side edge portion and extending upward therefrom, said left mounting flange having a pair of left keyways therein vertically spaced from one another and adapted to mount and support said shelf device; a right mounting flange connected to said bottom panel along said right side edge portion and extending upward therefrom, said right mounting flange having a pair of right keyways therein vertically spaced from one another and adapted to mount and support said shelf device; a partition panel connected to said bottom panel and said left and right mounting flanges dividing said bottom panel into a plurality of compartments; a plurality of vertical ribs attached to said partition panel at junctions of adjacent compartments; and a display panel spaced from said bottom panel and attached to said ribs and extending laterally between said left and right flanges.
11 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 10 , wherein said display panel includes top and bottom lips forming a slot for receiving a display insert.
12 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 10 , wherein said partition panel defines at least one opening in each of said compartments.
13 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 10 , wherein said display panel is attached to said left and right mounting flanges.
14 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 10 , wherein said display panel has end portions lapping onto said left and right flanges.
15 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 10 , wherein each of said ribs contains a slot for receiving said display panel.
16 . A shelf device for an inside surface of a cooler door, comprising:
a bottom panel having front, rear, left and right side edge portions; a left mounting flange connected to said bottom panel along said left side edge portion and extending upward therefrom, said left mounting flange having a pair of left keyways therein vertically spaced from one another and adapted to mount and support said shelf device, said left flange defining a left recess; a right mounting flange connected to said bottom panel along said right side edge portion and extending upward therefrom, said right mounting flange having a pair of right keyways therein vertically spaced from one another and adapted to mount and support said shelf device, said right flange defining a right recess, said left and right recesses each having a depth; a partition panel connected to said bottom panel and said left and right mounting flanges dividing said bottom panel into a plurality of compartments; a plurality of vertically extending ribs attached to said partition panel at junctions of adjacent compartments with each rib defining a recess having a depth; and a plurality of display panels spaced from said bottom panel, each display panel being associated with a selected one of said ribs and positioned in said recess of said associated rib.
17 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 16 , wherein each said display panel includes top and bottom flanges with lips forming a slot for slidably receiving a display insert.
18 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 17 , wherein ends of said display rest in said recesses of said left and right flanges.
19 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 17 , wherein said top and bottom flanges flex to facilitate a force fit of said display panel in said slot.
20 . A shelf device, as set forth in claim 16 , wherein said partition panel defines at least one ventilation opening in each of said compartments.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
