Abstract

The presence of a member of a protein in a nitrogenase enzyme system is detected by obtaining a sequence tag selected form the group consisting of VESGGPEPGVGC, VSQSLGHHIAND, CTTCMAEVIGDDL and CMAEVIGDDL, utilizing the tag to elicit the production of antibodies, and using the antibodies to measure the concentration of the target protein.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for detecting the presence of a member of a protein in sample containing a nitrogenase enzyme system comprising the steps of:
 (a) identifying and obtaining a peptide sequence tag conserve for proteins of the nitrogenase enzyme system, and exclusive to the nitrogenase enzyme system, wherein the peptide sequence tag is selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 4 SEQ ID NO: 11 SEQ ID NO: 12 SEQ ID NO: 13 (b) utilizing the tag to elicit the production of antibodies; and (c) using the antibodies to measure the concentration of a member of the target protein family in a sample containing the nitrogenase enzyme system.

2 . A peptide sequence tag selected from the group consisting of
SEQ ID NO: 4 SEQ ID NO: 11 SEQ ID NO: 12 SEQ ID NO: 13
