Abstract

A lift handle for building systems such as door assemblies and window assemblies. The handle comprises a flange and a channel extending from the flange. The flange comprises first and second surfaces. The first surface is adapted to removably engage a frame of a door or window. The channel is adapted to removably receive and engage a nailing fin of the frame.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A handle adapted to carry a door or a window, the handle comprising:
a flange comprising a first surface and a second surface, the first surface adapted to removably engage a frame of the door or the window; and a channel extending from the flange, the channel adapted to be removably receive and engage a nailing fin of the frame.

2 . The handle of claim 1 , wherein the flange further comprises a first end and a second end, the channel disposed proximate the first end.

3 . The handle of claim 1 , wherein the channel comprises a first end and a second end, the channel disposed substantially orthogonal to the flange.

4 . The handle of claim 1 , wherein the channel is adapted to secure the nailing fin.

         5 . (canceled)

6 . The handle of claim 1 , further comprising a grip disposed substantially orthogonal to the channel.

7 . The handle of claim 1 , wherein the frame comprises a vinyl door frame.

8 . The handle of claim 1 , wherein the frame comprises a vinyl window frame.

         9 - 26 . (canceled)

27 . A method of coupling a handle with a frame of a door or a window, the handle comprising a flange comprising a first surface and a second surface, and a channel extending from the flange, the method comprising coupling the channel with a nailing fin of the frame.

28 . The method of claim 27 , further comprising:
coupling the first surface with the frame; and securing the nailing fin of the frame in the channel of the handle.

29 . The method of claim 27 , wherein the frame comprises a vinyl door frame.

30 . The method of claim 27 , wherein the frame comprises a vinyl window frame.

         31 . (canceled)

         32 . A system comprising:
one of a door frame and a window frame comprising a nailing fin; and a handle comprising a flange comprising a first surface and a second surface and a channel formed in the flange, the first surface removably engaging the frame, the channel removably receiving and engaging the nailing fin.

33 . A handle adapted to carry a door or a window, the handle comprising:
a flange comprising a first surface and a second surface, the first surface adapted to removably engage a frame of the door or the window; and a channel disposed in the flange, the channel adapted to removably receive and engage a nailing fin of the frame.

34 . The handle of claim 33 , wherein the channel is formed between the first surface and the second surface.

35 . The handle of claim 33 , wherein the channel is substantially orthogonal to the flange.

36 . The handle of claim 34 , wherein a depth of the channel between the first surface and the second surface is sufficient to engage the nailing fin to carry the frame via the nailing fin.

37 . The handle of claim 36 , wherein the channel intersects the flange.

38 . A method of coupling a handle with a frame of a door or a window, the handle comprising a flange comprising a first surface and a second surface, and a channel disposed in the flange, the method comprising coupling the channel with a nailing fin of the frame.

39 . A method of carrying with a handle a frame of a door or a window, the handle comprising a flange comprising a first surface and a second surface, the method comprising:
engaging the first surface with the frame; and engaging a nailing fin of the frame with a channel of the handle, wherein the channel is disposed in the flange and is adapted to removably receive and engage the nailing fin.
