Abstract

1. The Mail Carrier Helper is made of all plastic parts except for a metal spring. The part consists of: FLAG DROP ARM, 2 WASHERS, 2 NUTS, DOORARM, FLAG, AXEL, THREADED SLEEVE, SPRING, DOOR HOOK, and COVER. 2. This idea came to me when I saw a mail carrier having a hard time trying to get close enough to my mail box to lower the flag. When mail carrier opens the mailbox door the Mail Carrier Helper Automatic Flag Release will automatically drop and mail carrier does not have to release the flag manually. When the flag is up, it means there is mail to be picked up. 3. When mail carrier opens the mailbox door to take mail a spring pulls flag arm lever, trips flag arm and flag falls. Its' purpose is to make Mail Carriers job much easier and faster.
