Skirting board
Abstract
Skirting board including at least a support able to be attached to a wall, and a covering able to be coupled with the support by the interposition of an intermediate element. The support includes a base plate and at least a first guide, rectilinear and perpendicular to the base plate, and is provided with first attachment elements able to couple in snap-in manner with second attachment elements made on the intermediate element, so that the intermediate element is free to slide along the first guide, maintaining itself parallel to the base plate. The covering comprises a substantially rectilinear groove parallel to the base plate and able to couple with pads of the intermediate element, so that the covering and the intermediate element are able to slide freely one with respect to the other, maintaining the covering parallel to the base plate.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A skirting board comprising at least:
a supporting element adapted for attachment to a wall, a covering element, an intermediate element, said covering element adapted for coupling with said supporting element by the interposition of at least said intermediate element between said supporting element and said covering element, wherein said supporting element comprises a base plate and at least a first guide, substantially rectilinear and perpendicular to said base plate, wherein said supporting element is provided with a first coupling means for selectively coupling with said intermediate element, wherein said covering element comprises a second coupling means for selectively coupling with said intermediate element, wherein said second coupling means comprises a groove, which is substantially rectilinear and parallel to said base plate of said supporting element, and wherein said intermediate element comprises both: (a) third coupling means for coupling in a snap-in manner with said first coupling means, so that said intermediate element is slidable along said first guide of said supporting element while maintaining the intermediate element substantially parallel to said base plate, and (b) fourth coupling means for coupling with said groove of said covering element, so that said covering element and said intermediate element are slidable freely with respect to the each other, while maintaining said covering element substantially parallel to said base plate of said supporting element.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said intermediate element further comprises a frame, substantially flattened in shape, and insertable in a sliding manner into said groove.
. The skirting board as in claim 2 , wherein said fourth coupling means comprises at least two pad elements made on two opposite sides of said frame.
. The skirting board as in claim 3 , wherein said at least two pad elements are adapted for contact respectively with two opposite walls of said groove to maintain said intermediate element constrained by said groove in a direction substantially orthogonal to a rectilinear development of said groove.
. The skirting board as in claim 2 , wherein said first coupling means comprises first attachment elements made on said first guide, and wherein said third coupling means comprises second attachment elements made on said frame and protruding towards said supporting element in a direction substantially orthogonal to said base plate, and adapted for coupling with said first attachment elements.
. The skirting board as in claim 2 , wherein said frame is formed by two lateral cross-pieces joined together by at least a central cross-piece disposed perpendicular to said lateral cross-pieces.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said supporting element extends in a longitudinal direction to define a path along which said covering element and said intermediate element are slidable.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said groove is made as an undercut.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said supporting element further comprises at least a second guide having a greater height than that of said first guide.
. The skirting board as in claim 9 , wherein the height of said second guide is greater than the overall height of said first guide and of said intermediate element in their coupled condition.
. The skirting board as in claim 9 , wherein said covering element comprises a notch shaped to contain said groove and to accommodate therein said supporting element and said intermediate element.
. The skirting board as in claim 11 , wherein said notch is shaped to contain at least a slit for accommodating said second guide.
. The skirting board as in claim 12 , wherein said slit extends substantially parallel to said groove.
. The skirting board as in claim 12 , wherein said slit extends inside the covering element more than said groove extends.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said supporting element laterally comprises a first connection means for connection with a corresponding second connection means of a second supporting element to connect said supporting elements with each other.
. The skirting board as in claim 15 , wherein said first and second connection means comprise male elements and respective female elements for coupling together to define a hinge-type connection.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 further comprising hook means for constraint to said supporting element and for supporting at least one of electric feed cables, signal cables, or pipes.
. The skirting board as in claim 17 , wherein said covering element comprises at least a longitudinal seating adapted to accommodate said hook means and said at least one of electric feed cables, signal cables or pipes.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said covering element has a cavity defined therein for the selective removal of said covering element from said supporting element.
. The skirting board as in claim 19 , wherein said cavity defined in said covering element is a through-hole.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said supporting element is made of plastic material comprising at least nylon or a polyamide resin.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said supporting element is made of metal.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said covering element is made of a member selected from the group consisting of wood, medium density fiberboard (MDF) or wood substitute materials.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said covering element is made of plastic material.
. The skirting board as in claim 1 , wherein said covering element is made of metal.
. The skirting board as in claim 24 , wherein said covering element comprises an outer covering layer made of a member selected from the group consisting of wood, medium density fiberboard (MDF) or wood substitute materials.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
