Abstract
An ice scraper including an elongated, hollow body portion, having a first end and a second end, and capable of receiving a lock de-icer container within the hollow body portion at the first end, wherein the lock de-icer container includes means for dispensing de-icer; and a blade member having an outer periphery and a forward edge, with a scraper blade formed in said forward edge for scraping ice from a surface, said blade member mounted to said hollow body portion at the second end.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An ice scraper, comprising:
an elongated, hollow body portion, having a first end and a second end, and capable of receiving a lock de-icer container within the hollow body portion at the first end, wherein the lock de-icer container includes means for dispensing de-icer; and a blade member having an outer periphery and a forward edge, with a scraper blade formed in said forward edge for scraping ice from a surface, said blade member mounted to said hollow body portion at the second end.
2 . An ice scraper, comprising:
a lock de-icer container containing de-icer; an elongated, hollow body portion having a first end and a second end, and capable of receiving the lock de-icer container within the hollow body portion at the first end, wherein the lock de-icer container includes means for dispensing de-icer; and a blade member having an outer periphery and a forward edge, with a scraper blade formed in said forward edge for scraping ice from a surface, said blade member mounted to said hollow body portion at a second end.
3 . The ice scraper as in claim 2 , further comprising:
a temperature controller; a switch; and a heating unit including a power source activated by the switch, and abutting the lock de-icer container, wherein the heating unit is regulated by the temperature controller.
4 . The ice scraper as in claim 3 , wherein the power source is rechargeable.
5 . The ice scraper as in claim 3 , wherein the power source is a battery.
6 . The ice scraper as in claim 2 , further comprising:
a transformer mounted in the hollow body portion; and at least one wire embedded in the blade member and scraper blade, wherein the transformer is operatively connected to said at least one wire, and said at least one wire being operable to generate heat upon energizing thereof by the switch and transformer for melting ice in contact with the blade member.
7 . The ice scraper as in claim 2 , wherein the lock de-icer container contains a de-icing aerosol.
8 . The ice scraper as in claim 2 , wherein the lock de-icer container contains a de-icing liquid.
9 . The ice scraper as in claim 2 , wherein the hollow body portion is tubular.

34 . An ice scraper, comprising:
an elongated, hollow body portion, having a first end and a second end, and capable of receiving a lock de-icer container within the hollow body portion at the first end, wherein the lock de-icer container dispenses de-icer through the first end; and a blade member having an outer periphery and a forward edge, with a scraper blade formed in said forward edge for scraping ice from a surface, said blade member mounted to said hollow body portion at the second end.
35 . An ice scraper, comprising:
a lock de-icer container containing de-icer; an elongated, hollow body portion having a first end and a second end, and capable of receiving the lock de-icer container within the hollow body portion at the first end, wherein the lock de-icer container dispenses de-icer through the first end; and a blade member having an outer periphery and a forward edge, with a scraper blade formed in said forward edge for scraping ice from a surface, said blade member mounted to said hollow body portion at a second end.
36 . The ice scraper as in claim 35 , further comprising:
a temperature controller; a switch; and a heating unit including a power source activated by the switch, and abutting the lock de-icer container, wherein the heating unit is regulated by the temperature controller.
37 . The ice scraper as in claim 36 , wherein the power source is rechargeable.
38 . The ice scraper as in claim 36 , wherein the power source is a battery.
39 . The ice scraper as in claim 35 , further comprising:
a transformer mounted in the hollow body portion; and at least one wire embedded in the blade member and scraper blade, wherein the transformer is operatively connected to said at least one wire, and said at least one wire being operable to generate heat upon energizing thereof by the switch and transformer for melting ice in contact with the blade member.
40 . The ice scraper as in claim 35 , wherein the lock de-icer container contains a de-icing aerosol.
41 . The ice scraper as in claim 35 , wherein the lock de-icer container contains a de-icing liquid.
42 . The ice scraper as in claim 35 , wherein the hollow body portion is tubular.
43 . The ice scraper as in claim 35 , further comprising a cap member engaged to said first end.
44 . The ice scraper as in claim 2 , further comprising a cap member engaged to said first end.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
