Abstract
A warming tray for use with a barbeque grill comprises a substantially planar support having a rear edge defined by an upturned lip. The lip extends upwardly and forward towards a front edge of the support. The tray may include a number of apertures. The warming tray is configured to be located in the housing of a barbeque grill above one or more burner units for warming food items. The lip prevents food items from falling off of the rear of the warming tray into the barbeque.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A warming tray for use in a grill comprising:
a generally planar support having a top surface for supporting one or more food items and an opposing bottom, a front edge and rear edge and a pair of sides, said rear edge defined by an upturned lip, said lip extending upwardly above said top surface and inwardly towards said front edge to inhibit food items located on said top surface from falling off of said surface at said rear edge.
2 . The warming tray in accordance with claim 1 wherein said lip defines an inner surface and an outer surface, at least a portion of said outer surface configured to engage an inner surface of a lid of said grill when said warming tray is located therein.
3 . The warming tray in accordance with claim 1 including a plurality of apertures located in said generally planar support permitting heated air to pass through said support from said bottom to food items located on said top surface.
4 . The warming tray in accordance with claim 1 wherein said opposing sides and said front edge are rolled downwardly towards said bottom.
5 . A food warmer comprising:
a grill having a housing having a lid which may be moved between an open and closed position for selectively accessing an interior cooking area, said grill having at least one burner located in said interior area; and a warming tray located in said interior area above said at least one burner, said warming tray comprising a generally planar support having a top surface upon which food items may be located and a bottom, a front end and a rear edge and a pair of sides, said rear edge defined by an upturned lip, said lip extending upwardly above said top of said support and inwardly towards said front edge of said support.
6 . The food warmer in accordance with claim 5 including a plurality of apertures located in said planar support through which heated air may pass to food items located on said top surface.
7 . The food warmer in accordance with claim 5 wherein said warming tray has a length between its sides which exceeds a depth between said front and rear edges thereof.
8 . The food warmer in accordance with claim 5 wherein said lip abuts a portion of said housing of said grill.
9 . The food warmer in accordance with claim 10 wherein said warming tray is located above a cooking grill which is located above said at least one burner unit within said interior area of said grill.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
