Abstract

Methods for treating Raynaud's syndrome by administering a botulinum toxin directly to an afflicted tissue of a patient.

1 . A method for treating Raynaud's syndrome of a patient in need thereof, the method comprising the step of administering a botulinum toxin to a tissue afflicted with Raynaud's syndrome, thereby increasing blood supply in the afflicted tissue and treating Raynaud's syndrome.  
   
   
       2 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the administering includes the step of injecting the botulinum toxin into a wall of the blood vessel.  
   
   
       3 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the botulinum toxin is selected from the group consisting of botulinum toxin types A, B, C, D, E, F and G.  
   
   
       4 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the botulinum toxin is a botulinum toxin type A.
