Abstract

Provided is a pair of shoes (e.g., sandals) each comprising a strap formed on a top of a sole, a plurality of light emitting members spaced along the strap, a battery mounted in a compartment of the sole, a switch provided on one side of the sole, and a circuit including the battery, the light emitting members, and the switch. A person wearing the shoes may turn on the switch to enable the circuit for causing the light emitting members to flash continuously in order to warn drivers behind the person.

1 . A pair of shoes each comprising: 
 a sole;    a strap formed on a top of the sole;    a plurality of light emitting members spaced along the strap;    a battery mounted in a compartment of the sole;    a switch provided on one side of the sole; and    a circuit including the battery, the light emitting members, and the switch,    wherein the switch is operative to enable the circuit for causing the light emitting members to flash.    
     
     
         2 . The shoes of  claim 1 , wherein the light emitting members are LEDs or EL members.  
     
     
         3 . The shoes of  claim 1 , wherein the shoes are a pair of sandals.  
     
     
         4 . The shoes of  claim 1 , wherein the shoes are a pair of dancing shoes.
