Collapsible dump bin

Abstract

A collapsible dump bin for storing and displaying a wide variety of products including a top member formed into a substantially planar loop defining an opening therethrough, a plurality of elongated leg members each pivotally attachable to the top member, and a product support platform member having a plurality of mounting points associated with its peripheral edge for removably attaching the product support platform member to the plurality of leg members, the product support platform member, the top member and the plurality of leg members forming a storage area therebetween, the storage area being accessible through the opening defined by the top member. In a preferred embodiment, each of the leg members is also slidably attachable to the top member such that each leg member slides along at least a portion of the periphery of the top member. A container member is positionable within the storage area for providing side walls adjacent the periphery of the storage area for further holding and containing products positioned therewithin. An optional base platform member is likewise removably attachable to the plurality of leg members for providing additional support and stability.

1 . A collapsible dump bin for storing and displaying a wide variety of products comprising: 
 a top member having an opening associated therewith;    at least one leg member having one end portion pivotally attached to said top member; and    a product support platform member having at least one mounting member associated therewith adjacent a peripheral edge removably attachable to said at least one leg member, said top member, said product support platform member, and said at least one leg member defining a storage area therebetween accessible through the opening associated with said top member.    
   
   
       2 . The dump bin of  claim 1  further including a base platform member having at least one mounting member associated therewith adjacent a peripheral edge thereof, said base platform member being removably attachable to said at least one leg member.  
   
   
       3 . The dump bin of  claim 2  wherein said base platform member includes rolling means.  
   
   
       4 . The dump bin of  claim 1  wherein said at least one leg member is slidably attachable to said top member such that said at least one leg member slides with respect to said top member along at least a portion of the periphery thereof.  
   
   
       5 . The dump bin in  claim 1  including a plurality of leg members pivotally attachable to said top member and wherein said product support platform member includes a plurality of mounting members associated therewith adjacent the peripheral edge thereof for removably attaching to said leg members.  
   
   
       6 . The dump bin of  claim 5  wherein each of said plurality of leg members is also slidably attachable to said top member for sliding movement along at least a portion of the periphery of said top member.  
   
   
       7 . The dump bin of  claim 1  including a container member positionable within said storage area, said container member providing at least side walls adjacent the periphery of said storage area.  
   
   
       8 . The dump bin of  claim 1  further including a product display member removably attachable to said dump bin, said product display member including at least one member adapted to support and retain a product for display.  
   
   
       9 . A collapsible dump bin for storing and displaying products comprising: 
 a top rod member formed into a substantially planar loop defining an opening therethrough;    at least one elongated side leg member having a distal bearing member proximate one end portion thereof pivotally attached to said top rod member such that said at least one leg member pivots about the top rod member on said bearing member; and    a product support platform member having at least one mounting member adjacent a peripheral edge thereof removably attachable to said at least one elongated side leg member between said distal bearing member and an opposed end portion of said elongated side leg member forming a storage area between said top rod member and said platform member, said storage area being bordered on the side by said at least one elongated side leg member and being accessible through the opening of said top rod member.    
   
   
       10 . The dump bin of  claim 9  further including a base platform member having at least one mounting member adjacent a peripheral edge thereof removably attached to said at least one elongated side leg member between said product support platform member and the opposed end portion of said at least one elongated side leg for providing additional reinforcement.  
   
   
       11 . The dump bin of  claim 10  wherein said base platform member includes rolling means for mobility of the dump bin.  
   
   
       12 . The dump bin of  claim 9  wherein said at least one elongated side leg member is slidably attachable to said top rod member such that said at least one leg member slides with respect to said top rod member along the periphery thereof.  
   
   
       13 . The dump bin of  claim 12  wherein said at least one leg member is slidable along said top rod member on said bearing member.  
   
   
       14 . The dump bin of  claim 9  including a plurality of leg members having a distal bearing member proximate one end portion thereof pivotally attached to said top rod member, and wherein said product support platform member includes a plurality of mounting members adjacent its peripheral edge for removably attaching to said leg members.  
   
   
       15 . The dump bin of  claim 14  wherein each of said plurality of leg members is also slidably attachable to said top rod member.  
   
   
       16 . The dump bin of  claim 9  including a container member positionable within said storage area, said container member providing at least side walls adjacent the periphery of said storage area.  
   
   
       17 . The dump bin of  claim 9  further including a product display member removably attachable to said dump bin, said product display member being formed to bow in a direction away from the opening formed by said top rod member.  
   
   
       18 . The dump bin of  claim 17  wherein said product display member includes at least one member extending in a direction away from said top rod member adapted to support and retain a product for display.  
   
   
       19 . The dump bin of  claim 14  further including a product display member having opposed first and second end portions removably attachable to two opposed leg members, said product display member including at least one member adapted to hold and support a product for display.  
   
   
       20 . The dump bin of  claim 19  wherein said product display member further includes a sign holding mechanism.  
   
   
       21 . A collapsible dump bin for storing and displaying products comprising: 
 a top rod member formed into a substantially planar loop defining an opening therethrough;    a plurality of elongated leg members each pivotally attachable to said top rod member such that each of the leg members pivot about the top rod member; and    a support platform member having a plurality of mounting members on its peripheral edge, each mounting member being attachable to one of said plurality of leg members, said support platform, said top rod member and said plurality of leg members forming a storage area therebetween, said storage area being accessible through the opening of said top rod member.    
   
   
       22 . The dump bin of  claim 21  further including a base platform member having a plurality of mounting points on its peripheral edge each removably attachable to one of said plurality of leg members for providing additional enforcement.  
   
   
       23 . The dump bin of  claim 22  wherein the base platform member includes wheels.  
   
   
       24 . The dump bin of  claim 21  wherein each of said plurality of leg members include a distal bearing member proximate one end thereof, each of said leg members being pivotal about said top rod member on said bearing member.  
   
   
       25 . The dump bin of  claim 24  wherein each of said leg members is also slidably attachable to said top rod member such that each leg member slides along at least a portion of the periphery thereof.  
   
   
       26 . The dump bin of  claim 25  wherein each leg member slides along at least a portion of the periphery of said top rod member on said bearing member.  
   
   
       27 . The dump bin of  claim 21  further including a display member having opposing first and second end portions removably attachable to two opposed leg members, said display member being formed to bow in a direction away from the opening of said top rod member; said display member including at least one member adapted to support and hold a product for display.  
   
   
       28 . The dump bin of  claim 27  wherein said display member includes a plurality of members adapted to support and hold a product for display.  
   
   
       29 . The dump bin of  claim 21  including a container member positionable within said storage area.  
   
   
       30 . A collapsible bin for storing products comprising: 
 a top member formed so as to define an opening therethrough;    a plurality of leg members each pivotally and slidably attached to said top member such that each leg member pivots about said top member and slides along at least a portion of said top member; and    a support platform member having a plurality of mounting points associated therewith, each mounting point being attachable to one of said plurality of leg members, said support platform, said top member and said plurality of leg members forming a storage area therebetween, said storage area being accessible through the opening defined by said top member.
