Abstract
A hinge mechanism for a portable, foldable electronic device comprising two or more positions and comprising at least three housing parts foldable in relation to each other, wherein the hinge mechanism comprises: a hinge system adapted to couple a first housing part to a second housing part, to fold the first and the second housing parts in relation to each other, and to couple the first and the second housing parts to a third housing part in a foldable manner; and an ejector mechanism adapted for moving said hinge system away from the third housing part.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A hinge mechanism for a portable, foldable electronic device comprising two or more positions and comprising at least three housing parts foldable in relation to each other, wherein the hinge mechanism comprises:
a hinge system adapted to couple a first housing part to a second housing part, to fold the first and the second housing parts in relation to each other, and to couple the first and the second housing parts to a third housing part in a foldable manner, and an ejector mechanism adapted for moving said hinge system away from the third housing part.
2 . The hinge mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the hinge mechanism further comprises an unfolding mechanism adapted for assisting in the opening of the first and the second housing parts.
3 . The hinge mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the ejector mechanism is further adapted to eject the first and the second housing parts fully out of the third housing part.
4 . The hinge mechanism according to claim 2 , wherein the ejector mechanism is further adapted to eject the first and the second housing parts fully out of the third housing part.
5 . The hinge mechanism according claim 1 , wherein the hinge mechanism is further adapted to move the first and the second housing parts away from the third housing part before opening the first housing part and the second housing part in opposite directions, and, upon closing, to move the first and the second housing parts, which are placed against each other, partly inside the third housing part.
6 . The hinge mechanism according claim 2 , wherein the hinge mechanism is further adapted to move the first and the second housing parts away from the third housing part before opening the first housing part and the second housing part in opposite directions, and, upon closing, to move the first and the second housing parts, which are placed against each other, partly inside the third housing part.
7 . The hinge mechanism according claim 3 , wherein the hinge mechanism is further adapted to move the first and the second housing parts away from the third housing part before opening the first housing part and the second housing part in opposite directions, and, upon closing, to move the first and the second housing parts, which are placed against each other, partly inside the third housing part.
8 . The hinge mechanism according claim 4 , wherein the hinge mechanism is further adapted to move the first and the second housing parts away from the third housing part before opening the first housing part and the second housing part in opposite directions, and, upon closing, to move the first and the second housing parts, which are placed against each other, partly inside the third housing part.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
