Abstract
An apparatus for temperature regulation comprising a three-way valve, a first channel for delivering fluid to said valve, a device for measuring fluid temperature, a bypass channel connected to said valve, a second channel connected to said bypass channel, and fluid loop connected to said valve and said second channel; and a heat exchanger, at least of a portion of said fluid loop contained within said heat exchanger, wherein said valve directs the fluid into said bypass channel or said fluid loop depending on the fluid temperature.

a three-way valve; a first channel for delivering a fluid to said valve; a device for measuring a fluid temperature; a bypass channel connected to said valve; a second channel connected to said bypass channel; a fluid loop connected to said valve and said second channel; and a heat exchanger, at least a portion of said fluid loop contained within said heat exchanger; wherein said valve directs the fluid into said bypass channel or said fluid loop depending on the fluid temperature
2 ) The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a timer for allowing the fluid temperature to stabilize for a set period of time before said valve directs the fluid.
3 ) The apparatus of claim 2 wherein the set period of time is about 60 seconds.
4 ) The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the heat exchanger comprises an inlet for ingress of a temperature regulating substance and an outlet for egress of the temperature regulating substance.
5 ) The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a system for circulating and controlling the temperature of a temperature regulating substance within the heat exchanger.
6 ) The apparatus of claim 5 wherein the system is for continuously circulating the temperature regulating substance.
7 ) The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the apparatus is for controlling the temperature of the fluid within a predetermined range.
8 ) The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the temperature regulating substance comprises water.
9 ) The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the fluid comprises oil.
10 ) The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the oil is circulated through a mold in a blowmolding process.
11 ) The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the apparatus is for cooling the fluid and said valve directs the fluid into said bypass channel when the fluid temperature is below a predetermined temperature range, and said valve directs the fluid into said fluid loop when the fluid temperature is above the predetermined temperature range.
12 ) An apparatus comprising:
a heat exchanger; an inlet in said heat exchanger for ingress of a temperature regulating substance; an outlet in said heat exchanger for egress of the temperature regulating substance; a mechanism for continuously circulating and controlling the temperature of the temperature regulating substance between said inlet and outlet wherein the apparatus is for controlling the temperature of a fluid that can be passed through said heat exchanger.
13 ) The apparatus of claim 12 further comprising:
a three-way valve; a first channel for delivering the fluid to said valve; a device for measuring the fluid temperature; a bypass channel connected to said valve; a second channel connected to said bypass channel; a fluid loop connected to said valve and said second channel at least a portion of said fluid loop contained within said heat exchanger; said valve for directing the fluid into a bypass channel or said fluid loop depending on the fluid temperature.
14 ) The apparatus of claim 12 further comprising a timer for allowing the fluid temperature stabilize for a set period of time before passing the fluid through said heat exchanger.
15 ) The apparatus of claim 14 wherein the set period of time is about 60 seconds.
16 ) The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the apparatus is for controlling the temperature of the fluid within a predetermined range;
17 ) The apparatus of claim 16 wherein at least a portion of said range is above the boiling point of said temperature-regulating substance.
18 ) The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the temperature regulating substance comprises water.
19 ) The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the fluid comprises oil.
20 ) The apparatus of claim 19 wherein the oil is circulated through a mold in the blowmolding process.
21 ) A method of temperature regulation of a substance comprising:
providing a heat exchanger measuring the temperature of an incoming substance before it enters said heat exchanger allowing the fluid to bypass the main receptacle if the fluid temperature is above or below a certain range and sending the fluid through the heat exchanger if the fluid temperature is above or below a predetermined range
22 ) The method of claim 21 further comprising the step of continuously flowing a temperature-regulating substance through said heat exchanger via an inlet and outlet.
23 ) The method of claim 21 wherein the method is for cooling and the fluid is directed to the bypass channel if the fluid temperature is above the predetermined range, but is passed through the heat exchanger if the fluid temperature is below the predetermined range.
24 ) The method of claim 22 wherein the temperature-regulating substance is water and the fluid is oil.
