Buckle

Abstract

A buckle includes a buckle body, and a holder member for holding an article. The holder member is rotatably and detachably attached to the buckle body. Thus, the article can be attached to the buckle body if required.

1 . A buckle comprising: 
 a buckle body, and    a holder member for holding an article, said holder member being rotatably and detachably attached to said buckle body.

A buckle according to  claim 1 , further comprising engaging means for engaging the holder member to the buckle body, said engaging means having a female part formed in one of the buckle body and the holder member, and a male part formed on the other of the buckle body and the holder member.  
   
   
       3 . A buckle according to  claim 2 , wherein said male part includes a head and a neck; and said female part includes an insertion opening, an insertion space continued from the insertion opening for the head of the male part, a through hole formed in one of walls forming said insertion space and communicated with said insertion space, said through hole having an inner peripheral surface with a diameter to allow the neck of the male part to pass without passing the head, and a guide groove for the neck of the male part to communicate said through hole with the insertion opening of said wall.  
   
   
       4 . A buckle according to  claim 3 , wherein said female part is formed flexibly such that when the male part is inserted into the through hole of the female part, the guide groove is resiliently opened outwardly, and the head is fitted into the insertion space.  
   
   
       5 . A buckle according to  claim 2 , wherein said holder member includes a clamp for receiving and holding an elongated article from a lengthwise side into a clamp interior while allowing the elongated article being inserted to resiliently open a clamp entrance.  
   
   
       6 . A buckle according to  claim 5 , wherein the buckle body comprises a male buckle, and a female buckle constructing a side release buckle, said female buckle having one of said male part and the female part.  
   
   
       7 . A buckle according to  claim 3 , wherein said female part further includes a slit at a side opposite to the insertion opening.  
   
   
       8 . A buckle according to claims  1 , wherein said buckle body includes a strap fastening section having a strap passing section in two lateral ends thereof.

A buckle according to  claim 2 , wherein said engaging means further includes a recess formed in one of the male part and the female part, and a rise formed on the other of the male part and the female part, said rise being located in the recess for directing the holder member in a fixed direction.
