Abstract

A disposable coupon dispenser particularly suitable to be used to dispense coupons outdoors has coupons which are sufficiently water-resistant to remain sufficiently intact when manually removed from the dispenser to pull another coupon partly out of the dispenser despite exposure of the dispenser to days or weeks of outdoor weather conditions.

1 . A disposable coupon dispenser comprising: 
 a dispenser assembly comprising a container having    a hollow interior and a fastener connected to said container for mounting said container on a support;    a stack of water-resistant coupons within said hollow interior;    said container having a dispensing slot though which said coupons may be removed by manually pulling said coupons from said stack outwardly through said slot;    said dispensing assembly being constructed to prevent water from reaching said hollow interior except through said slot; and    said stack being so constructed and arranged that when one of said coupons is pulled outwardly through said slot and removed from said stack, another coupon in said stack partly extends through said slot.    
     
     
         2 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 1  wherein said fastener comprises a sheet of waterproof plastic sheet material having an adhesive backing.  
     
     
         3 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 2  wherein said fastener includes a sheet portion for closing the side of said container opposite said slot.  
     
     
         4 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 1  wherein each of said coupons has a mildly aggressive adhesive along a marginal portion thereof and said coupons in said stack being arranged in accordion fashion so that when said outermost one of said coupons is pulled outwardly through said slot and removed from said stack, the adhesive thereon pulls a marginal portion of the next outermost coupon in said stack partly through said slot.  
     
     
         5 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 4  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a repositionable adhesive.  
     
     
         6 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 4  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a one-shot adhesive.  
     
     
         7 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 4  wherein said fastener comprises a sheet of waterproof plastic sheet material having an adhesive backing.  
     
     
         8 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 7  wherein said fastener includes a sheet portion for closing the side of said container opposite said slot.  
     
     
         9 . The dispenser of  claim 1  wherein said coupon is a water-resistant paper coupon.  
     
     
         10 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 9  wherein said fastener comprises a sheet of waterproof plastic sheet material having an adhesive backing.  
     
     
         11 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 10  wherein said fastener includes a sheet portion for closing the side of said container opposite said slot.  
     
     
         12 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 9  wherein each of said coupons has a mildly aggressive adhesive along a marginal portion thereof and said coupons in said stack being arranged in accordion fashion so that when said outermost one of said coupons is pulled outwardly through said slot and removed from said stack, the adhesive thereon pulls a marginal portion of the next outermost coupon in said stack partly through said slot.  
     
     
         13 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 12  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a repositionable adhesive.  
     
     
         14 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 11  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a one-shot adhesive.  
     
     
         16 . The dispenser of  claim 1  wherein said coupon is a water-resistant coated paper coupon.  
     
     
         17 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 16  wherein said fastener comprises a sheet of waterproof plastic sheet material having an adhesive backing.  
     
     
         18 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 17  wherein said fastener includes a sheet portion parallel to said wall for closing the side of said container opposite said wall.  
     
     
         19 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 16  wherein each of said coupons has a mildly aggressive adhesive along a marginal portion thereof and said coupons in said stack being arranged in accordion fashion so that when said outermost one of said coupons is pulled outwardly through said slot and removed from said stack, the adhesive thereon pulls a marginal portion of the next outermost coupon in said stack partly through said slot.  
     
     
         20 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 19  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a repositionable adhesive.  
     
     
         21 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 19  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a one-shot adhesive.  
     
     
         22 . The dispenser of  claim 1  wherein said coupon is a water-resistant clay-coated paper coupon.  
     
     
         23 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 22  wherein said fastener comprises a sheet of waterproof plastic sheet material having an adhesive backing.  
     
     
         24 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 23  wherein said fastener includes a sheet portion parallel to said wall for closing the side of said container opposite said wall.  
     
     
         25 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 22  wherein each of said coupons has a mildly aggressive adhesive along a marginal portion thereof and said coupons in said stack being arranged in accordion fashion so that when said outermost one of said coupons is pulled outwardly through said slot and removed from said stack, the adhesive thereon pulls a marginal portion of the next outermost coupon in said stack partly through said slot.  
     
     
         26 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 25  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a repositionable adhesive.  
     
     
         27 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 25  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a one-shot adhesive.  
     
     
         28 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 1  wherein said coupons are made from plastic.  
     
     
         29 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 28  wherein said fastener comprises a sheet of waterproof plastic sheet material having an adhesive backing.  
     
     
         30 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 29  wherein said fastener includes a sheet portion parallel to said wall for closing the side of said container opposite said wall.  
     
     
         31 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 28  wherein each of said coupons has a mildly aggressive adhesive along a marginal portion thereof and said coupons in said stack being arranged in accordion fashion so that when said outermost one of said coupons is pulled outwardly through said slot and removed from said stack, the adhesive thereon pulls a marginal portion of the next outermost coupon in said stack partly through said slot.  
     
     
         32 . The coupon dispenser of  claim 31  wherein said mildly aggressive adhesive is a repositionable adhesive.
