Claims
Abstract
An infant soothing and sleep aid includes a fabric mat in the shape of a character. A pair of removable and adjustable arms are provided, one on either side, that act as a cradling mechanism to make the infant feel safe and secure in the large crib. The paws include a vibration mechanism and white noise mechanism in order to soothe the baby in the form of restricted movement, pleasing sounds, and motion, all in an aesthetically pleasing shape.

4 . An infant aid, comprising:
a mat having a head end, a tail end, a first side, and a second side; a character face positioned at the head end of the mat; a first arm attached to the first side of the mat, the first arm having markings representative of an arm or hand related to the character; a second arm to the second side of the mat, the second arm having markings representative of an arm or hand related to the character; and a tail attached to the tail end of the mat.
5 . The aid of claim 4 , wherein the character face positioned at the head end of the mat comprises a pillow removably attached to the head end of the mat, the pillow having an outer surface bearing markings in the form of a character face.
6 . The aid of claim 4 , wherein the character is a bear.
7 . The aid of claim 4 , wherein the character is a cartoon character.
8 . The aid of claim 4 , further comprising a vibration generator secured to the first arm.
9 . The aid of claim 8 , wherein the first arm is formed from a flexible material having an internal cavity and wherein the vibration generator is secured within the internal cavity.
10 . The aid of claim 4 , further comprising a white noise generator secured to aid.
11 . The aid of claim 10 , wherein the first arm is formed from a flexible material having an internal cavity and wherein the white noise generator is secured within the internal cavity.
12 . The aid of claim 4 , further comprising a white noise generator secured to the first arm or the second arm, and a vibration generator secured to the first arm or the second arm.
13 . The aid of claim 4 , wherein the first arm is formed from a flexible material and further wherein the first arm includes a first longitudinal side and a second longitudinal side, the first longitudinal side having a concave shape.
14 . The aid of claim 4 , further comprising a music source secured to the aid.
15 . The aid of claim 34 , further comprising a means for producing noise secured to the aid.
16 . The aid of claim 15 , wherein the means for producing noise further comprises a source of white noise.
17 . The aid of claim 15 , wherein the means for producing noise further comprises a source of white noise, music, and a heart beat sound.
18 . The aid of claim 4 , further comprising a means for a vibration attached to the aid.
19 . An infant aid, comprising:
a mat having a head end, a tail end, a first side, and a second side; a character face positioned at the head end of the mat; a first arm attached to the first side of the mat; a second arm attached to the second side of the mat, wherein at least one of the first arm or second arm includes designs representative of an arm or hand related to the character; and an electronic soothing source secured to one of the first arm or the second arm.
20 . The infant aid of claim 19 , wherein the soothing source comprises a vibration generator.
21 . The infant aid of claim 19 , wherein the soothing source comprises a music source.
