Device for attaching water pump to aquarium

Abstract

A flexible attaching device for attaching a water pump to an aquarium, includes a flexible stem having one end for attaching to the aquarium, and the other end for coupling to a water pump with a coupling device. The coupling device includes a plate attached to the flexible stem for coupling to the water pump with one or more sucker devices. A seat includes a fastener device for detachably attaching to the aquarium, and a coupler is attached to the seat and has a chamber to rotatably receive a ball which is attached to one end of the flexible stem, for allowing the flexible stem and the water pump to be adjusted relative to the seat and the aquarium.

1 . A flexible attaching device for attaching a water pump to an aquarium, said flexible attaching device comprising: 
 a flexible stem including a first end and a second end, means for attaching said first end of said flexible stem to the aquarium,    a water pump, and    means for coupling said second end of said flexible stem to said water pump.    
   
   
       2 . The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said coupling means includes a plate attached to said second end of said flexible stem for coupling to said water pump.  
   
   
       3 . The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein said water pump includes at least one sucker device provided thereon, for attaching to said plate.

The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said flexible stem includes a ball attached to said first end thereof, and said attaching means includes a seat, a fastener device attached to said seat for detachably attaching said seat to the aquarium, and a coupler attached to said seat and having a chamber formed therein to rotatably receive said ball.  
   
   
       5 . The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 4 , wherein said fastener device is a clip.  
   
   
       6 . The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 4 , wherein said seat includes a shank extended therefrom, said coupler includes a screw hole formed therein for threading with said shank of said seat.  
   
   
       7 . The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein said seat includes a lock nut threaded onto said shank, and engageable with said coupler, to lock said coupler to said shank.  
   
   
       8 . The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 4 , wherein said coupler includes a plurality of posts extended therefrom to define said chamber thereof.  
   
   
       9 . The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 8  wherein each of said posts includes a projection extended into said chamber of said coupler, to engage with said ball, and to rotatably retain said ball within said chamber of said coupler.  
   
   
       10 . The flexible attaching device as claimed in  claim 8 , wherein said coupler includes a plurality of slots formed between said posts, to receive and position said flexible stem to said coupler.
