Abstract
A plant packaging and covering system comprising a floral sleeve having a lower portion and optionally an upper detachable portion which may be sized to surround a plant disposed in a pot. The floral sleeve has a lower end having an angular arcuate portion for improving the conformation of the sleeve to the shape of a pot.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A sleeve initially constructed in a flattened condition and openable therefrom, comprising:
an upper end, a lower end, a first side, a second side, and a first panel and a second panel which are connected along the first side and the second side, the sleeve in the flattened condition having a single arcuate portion in or near the lower end thereof, the first side having a first angle which faces inwardly and which is greater than 90° and less than 180° and the second side having a second angle which faces inwardly and which is greater than 90° and less than 180°, the first angle, second angle, and single arcuate portion cooperating to define an angular arcuate portion of the sleeve when the sleeve is in the flattened condition prior to being opened and the sleeve having a generally tapered shape when in an opened condition and absent a gusset in the lower end when in the flattened condition.
2 . The sleeve of claim 1 wherein the first angle is between about 120° and about 160° and the second angle is between about 120° and about 160°.
3 . The sleeve of claim 1 wherein the first angle is between about 135° and about 155° and the second angle is between about 135° and about 155°.
4 . The sleeve of claim 1 further comprising a detachable upper portion and a detaching element for permitting detachment of the detachable upper portion of the sleeve.
5 . The sleeve of claim 4 wherein the detaching element comprises perforations in the sleeve.
6 . The sleeve of claim 4 wherein the detachable upper portion is sized to substantially surround and enclose a floral grouping.
7 . The sleeve of claim 4 wherein the detachable upper portion is adapted to support the sleeve from a support assembly.
8 . The sleeve of claim 1 further comprising a skirt portion.
9 . The sleeve of claim 1 wherein the upper end has a non-linear edge.
10 . A sleeve initially constructed in a flattened condition and openable therefrom, comprising:
an upper end, a lower end, a first side, a second side, and a first panel and a second panel which are connected along the first side and the second side, the sleeve in the flattened condition having a single arcuate portion in or near the lower end thereof, and the first side having a first angle and a second angle, both of which face inwardly, and both of which are each between about 110° and about 175° and the second side having a third angle and a fourth angle, both of which face inwardly and both of which are each between about 110° and about 175°, the first angle, second angle, third angle, fourth angle and the single arcuate portion cooperating to define an angular arcuate portion of the sleeve when the sleeve is in the flattened condition prior to being opened and the sleeve having a generally tapered shape when in an opened condition and absent a gusset in the lower end when in the flattened condition.
11 . The sleeve of claim 10 wherein the first angle and the third angle are between about 125° and about 150°, and wherein the second angle and the fourth angle are between about 125° and about 150°.
12 . The sleeve of claim 10 further comprising a detachable upper portion.
13 . The sleeve of claim 12 wherein the detachable upper portion is detachable via perforations in the sleeve.
14 . The sleeve of claim 12 wherein the detachable upper portion is sized to substantially surround and enclose a floral grouping.
15 . The sleeve of claim 12 wherein the detachable upper portion is adapted to support the sleeve from a support assembly.
16 . The sleeve of claim 10 further comprising a skirt portion.
17 . The sleeve of claim 10 wherein the upper end has a non-linear edge.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
