Combination sanitary toilet seat handle and tissue roll holder

Abstract

A combination sanitary toilet seat handle and toilet tissue roll holder, which is affixed to the toilet seat ring, whereby the toilet paper roll is used as a renewable sanitary grasping surface for the handle, with which the seat may be raised or lowered without touching the seat ring or lid proper.

1 . A dual purpose sanitary toilet seat handle and tissue roll holder device comprising: 
 an arm permanently attachable to a toilet seat ring by a means for fastening the arm to a toilet seat ring in a rigid connection adapted to enable a toilet seat ring and a toilet seat to be moved and supported by the arm in movement of the arm, the arm extending away from a toilet seat ring in at least one direction;    a toilet tissue roll retainer permanently attached to an outer end of the arm by a rigid connection to the arm so that the roll retainer is positioned horizontally with a toilet seat ring in a down position, the rigid connection adapted to enable the arm and a toilet seat ring attached thereto to be supported and moved by the toilet tissue roll retainer, the roll retainer comprising a rigid cylindrical element adapted to receive a toilet tissue roll slidably attachable thereon and an end cap removably securable to the rigid cylindrical element to secure a toilet tissue roll on the rigid cylindrical element, the device adapted to serve both as a means for dispensing toilet tissue and as a handle means for a user to grasp a toilet tissue roll mounted thereon as a handle means to raise and lower a toilet seat ring holding only a toilet tissue roll mounted on the device.    
   
   
       2 . The device of  claim 1  wherein the arm is configured to extend outwardly and upwardly away from the toilet seat ring so that a toilet tissue roll mounted on the device is positioned so that a toilet tissue roll may be grasped within arms reach by a seated user to dispense toilet tissue and by a standing user to dispense toilet tissue and to raise and lower a toilet seat ring attached thereto.  
   
   
       3 . The device of  claim 1  wherein the end cap is adapted to be removable from the rigid cylindrical element without the use of a tool.  
   
   
       4 . The device of  claim 1  wherein the end cap is secured to the rigid cylindrical element by a tamperproof connection requiring the use of a security tool to remove the end cap.  
   
   
       5 . The device of  claim 1  wherein the means for attaching the arm to a toilet seat ring comprises a means for attaching taken from the list of means for attaching including screws, adhesives, high gauss magnets, an elongated element from the arm insertable in a mating opening in a toilet seat ring, an arm molded together with a toilet seat ring in a molding process, a tab from the arm insertable into a recess pocket with flanges in a toilet seat ring.  
   
   
       6 . The device of  claim 1  wherein the arm is structured with a structure taken from the list of structures including a rigid member, a semi-flexible member, a flexible member, a length adjustable member, a spring-loaded member, a spring-like material member, and a coil spring member.  
   
   
       7 . The device of  claim 1  further comprising an adhesive-backed soft pad attachable to a toilet tank to prevent banging of a toilet seat against a tank, the soft pad having indicia thereon.  
   
   
       8 . The device of  claim 1  further comprising a pivot shaft for attaching the arm to a toilet seat ring to allow a toilet tissue roll mounted on the device being grasped by a user as a handle to controllably rotate as a toilet seat ring is lifted by the device, a toilet tissue roll mounted thereon adapted to maintain a horizontal orientation when a toilet seat ring is in a down position, in an up position and throughout a movement of a toilet ring between a down and an up position, thereby providing a roll position that is easier to grasp.  
   
   
       9 . The device of  claim 8  further comprising a means for selectively gripping a toilet seat cover with both a toilet seat ring and a toilet seat cover in an up position to lower a toilet seat cover while lowering a toilet seat ring.  
   
   
       10 . The device of  claim 1  wherein the rigid cylindrical element of the toilet tissue roll retainer and a toilet tissue roll mounted thereon are positioned in a perpendicular orientation to a longitudinal axis of a toilet seat ring.
