Abstract

A width expandable modular erosion control tile system includes a plurality of open liner tiles and a plurality of expandable liner tiles. Either a female curved surface or a male curved surface is formed on opposing sides of each open liner tile. The male curved surface pivots relative to the female curved surface, upon contact. The male and female curved surfaces allow separate liner tiles to be retained relative to each other at different angles to conform to the shape of a ditch. A roadway boundary marker includes a plurality of interlocking segments. A male interlocking surface is formed on one end of the interlocking segment and a female interlocking surface is formed on the other end of the interlocking segment. A plurality of ridges are preferably formed on a top of the interlocking segment. A reflective material is mixed into the interlocking segment.

1 . A method of creating a modular width expandable erosion control title system, comprising the steps of: 
 providing a plurality of open liner tiles, forming one of a male and female pivoting surface on opposing sides of each one of said plurality of open liner tiles; and    providing a plurality of width expandable liner tiles, forming one of a male and female pivoting surface on opposing sides of each one of said plurality of open liner tiles, said male pivoting surface pivoting relative to said female pivoting surface.    
   
   
       2 . The method of creating a modular width expandable erosion control title system of  claim 1 , comprising the steps of: 
 forming a substantially concave shape in a top of each one of said plurality of open liner sections.    
   
   
       3 . The method of creating a modular width expandable erosion control title system of  claim 1 , comprising the steps of: 
 providing a male curved surface for said male pivoting surface, providing a female curved surface for said female pivoting surface.    
   
   
       4 . The method of creating a modular width expandable erosion control title system of  claim 3 , comprising the steps of: 
 providing at least one of said male and female curved surfaces with a non-constant curvature.    
   
   
       5 . A method of creating a roadway boundary marker, comprising the steps of: 
 providing a plurality of segments;    forming a male interlocking surface on one end of each one of said plurality of segments;    forming a female interlocking surface on the other end of each one of said plurality of segments, said female interlocking surface being sized to receive said male interlocking surface; and    mixing a reflective material in with a material that said plurality of segments are fabricated from.    
   
   
       6 . The method of creating a roadway boundary marker of  claim 5 , comprising the steps of: 
 providing a convex curved surface for said male interlocking surface, providing a concave curved surface for said female interlocking surface.    
   
   
       7 . The method of creating a roadway boundary marker of  claim 5 , comprising the steps of: 
 placing said plurality of segments adjacent or in a roadway.    
   
   
       8 . The method of creating a roadway boundary marker of  claim 5 , comprising the steps of: 
 forming a plurality of ridges on a top of each one of said plurality of segments.    
   
   
       9 . The method of creating a roadway boundary marker of  claim 5 , comprising the steps of: 
 providing concrete for the material said plurality of segments are fabricated from, mixing said reflective material with said concrete.    
   
   
       10 . The method of creating a roadway boundary marker of  claim 5 , comprising the steps of: 
 providing gypsum for said reflective material.    
   
   
       11 . A method of creating a roadway lane divider, comprising the steps of: 
 providing a plurality of segments;    extending at least one retention projection from each one of said plurality of segments;    mixing a reflective material in with a material that said plurality of segments are fabricated from.    
   
   
       12 . The method of creating a roadway lane divider of  claim 11 , comprising the steps of: 
 forming a plurality of ridges on a top of each one of said plurality of segments.    
   
   
       13 . The method of creating a roadway lane divider of  claim 11 , comprising the steps of: 
 placing said plurality of segments in a roadway.    
   
   
       14 . The method of creating a roadway lane divider of  claim 11 , comprising the steps of: 
 providing concrete for the material said plurality of segments are fabricated from, mixing said reflective material with said concrete.    
   
   
       15 . The method of creating a roadway lane divider of  claim 11 , comprising the steps of: 
 providing gypsum for said reflective material.
