Abstract

A book-lamp with a magnifying glass which is not only easily folded for convenient carrying and set-up but also possesses many adjustable functions is disclosed. The book-lamp with a magnifying glass provided by the present invention comprises a lamp base, a lamp cover housing at least a light bulb, a “L” type lever pivotally connected to the lamp base and a magnifying glass housing which has a magnifying glass hole centrally bored through to accommodate the magnifying glass, and a lamp handle providing for easy carrying of the book-lamp. Utilizing the “L” type lever the consumer can freely adjust the corresponding location, distance, and angle between the magnifying glass and the light bulb to facilitate his reading.

1 . A book-lamp with a magnifying glass, comprising: 
 a lamp base;    a lamp cover attached to the lamp base, housing at least a light bulb;    a magnifying glass housing with a magnifying glass hole centrally bored through to accommodate a magnifying glass; and    a “L” type lever pivotally connected to the lamp base and the magnifying glass housing.    
   
   
       2 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 1 , wherein a front side of the lamp base is recessed to provide a receptacle space for the lamp cover to be folded into.  
   
   
       3 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a cylindrical hinge located at top of the lamp base to allow the lamp cover to be pivotally connected to the lamp base.  
   
   
       4 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the lamp base further includes a protruding base extends horizontally out from a bottom portion thereof.  
   
   
       5 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a container attached for the storage of miscellaneous items.  
   
   
       6 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 5 , wherein the container is attached to a rear side of the lamp base.  
   
   
       7 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a lamp handle pivotally connected to the lamp base.  
   
   
       8 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 7 , wherein the lamp handle is pivotally connect to the lamp base via a cylindrical hinge to which the lamp cover and the “L” type lever are hinged.  
   
   
       9 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the “L” type lever is pivotally sleeved into a cylindrical hinge stem which is pivotally connected to the lamp base.  
   
   
       10 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 9 , wherein the “L” type lever is pivotally sleeved into both the magnifying glass housing and the cylindrical hinge stem for sliding in or out.  
   
   
       11 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the “L” type lever is fixed in front of the lamp cover.  
   
   
       12 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the “L” type lever is fixed in a position via tightening a screw head.  
   
   
       13 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 12 , wherein the screw head having a concave receptacle, matching with a thumb key which comprises a flat portion and an embedded part having a same configuration as the receptacle.  
   
   
       14 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 13 , wherein a shape of both the concave receptacle and the embedded part is a plum flower.  
   
   
       15 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 13 , wherein a shape of both the concave receptacle and the embedded part is a slot.  
   
   
       16 . The book-lamp with a magnifying glass as recited in  claim 13 , wherein a shape of both the concave receptacle and the embedded part is a cross.
