Abstract
The present invention relates to devices for carrying, storing, and deterring the theft of elongate recreational boards such as snowboards, skis, skateboards, surfboards, and sailboards and the like.

18 . A carrying case for a snowboard comprising:
a. a first receptacle located at the top side proximal end of said carrying case and a second receptacle located at the top side distal end of said carrying case, said first and second receptacles arranged so that proximal and distal ends of a snowboard are insertable into said respective receptacles; d. an elongated carrying strap attached to the bottom side of said carrying case; and e. a backpack portion comprising a first shoulder strap and a second shoulder strap, wherein said backpack portion is attached to said bottom side of said carrying case.
19 . The carrying case of claim 18 , wherein said elongated carrying strap comprises a first carrying strap end attached to said bottom side of said carrying case and a second carrying strap end attached to said bottom side of said carrying case.
20 . The carrying case of claim 19 , wherein said first carrying strap end is pivotally attached to said bottom side of said carrying case, and said second carrying strap end is pivotally attached to said bottom side of said carrying case.
21 . The carrying case of claim 18 , wherein said elongated carrying strap further comprises a device for adjusting the length of said elongated carrying strap.
22 . The carrying case of claim 18 , wherein said elongated carrying strap further comprises a shoulder pad.
23 . The carrying case of claim 18 , wherein said first and said second receptacles comprise an elastic material.
24 . The carrying case of claim 18 , wherein said first and said second receptacles further comprise cut-resistant material.
25 . The carrying case of claim 18 , wherein said first and said second receptacles further comprise a device for securing said receptacles around the ends of an object.
26 . The carrying case of claim 18 , wherein said first and said second receptacles further comprise shock absorbing material.
27 . The carrying case of claim 18 , wherein said carrying case holds a recreational board.
28 . The carrying case of claim 27 , wherein said recreational board is selected from the group consisting of snowboards, skateboards, surfboards, sailboards, snowshoes, water skis, and snow skis.
