Abstract

A magnetic display device for displaying jewelry, such as a ring including a display base. A magnetic member is mounted on or in the display base; and a metallic member is attached to the ring. The metallic member is magnetically attached to the magnetic member to display the jewelry or ring in an upstanding manner on the display base.

1 . A magnetic display device for displaying a ring, comprising: 
 a) a display base for displaying a ring;    b) a first magnetic member mounted on or in said display base;    c) a metallic member or a second magnetic member attached to the ring; and    d) said metallic member or said second magnetic member being magnetically attached to said first magnetic member to display the ring in an upstanding manner on said display base.    
   
   
       2 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said display base is a material selected from the group consisting of glass, plastic, wood, stone, marble and polished metal.  
   
   
       3 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said display base includes a cavity for mounting said first magnetic member in said cavity.  
   
   
       4 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , further including a third magnetic member mounted on or in said display base.  
   
   
       5 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said first magnetic member is selected from the group consisting of bars, rods, cylinders, spheres, and other geometrically-shaped members.  
   
   
       6 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said first magnetic member is a ferromagnetic material selected from the group consisting of steel, iron, ferro-nickle alloys, aluminum-nickle alloys and ceramic or combinations thereof.  
   
   
       7 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said metallic member is selected from the group consisting of bars, rods, cylinders, spheres, and other geometrically-shaped members.  
   
   
       8 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said metallic member is attached to a side of the ring by epoxy cement, soldering, acrylic cement, a friction fit, a casting, screws or glue.  
   
   
       9 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said metallic member is attached to the side of the ring at a canted angle alpha (α) of at least 30° with respect to a vertical axis so that the ring is displayed at an angle relative to said vertical axis.  
   
   
       10 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said first magnetic member is in or on the display base, and a top surface of said first magnetic member is canted at an angle alpha (α) of at least 30°.  
   
   
       11 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said metallic member is a magnetized metal material made from a ferromagnetic material selected from the group consisting of steel, iron, ferro-nickle alloys, aluminum-nickle alloys and ceramic or combinations thereof.  
   
   
       12 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 11 , wherein said first magnetic member and said magnetized metallic member cooperate to form a magnetic bond for holding together said first magnetic member and said magnetized metallic member.  
   
   
       13 . A magnetic display device for displaying jewelry, comprising: 
 a) a display base for displaying jewelry;    b) a first magnetic member mounted on or in said display base;    c) a metallic member or a second magnetic member attached to the jewelry; and    d) said metallic member being magnetically attached to said first magnetic member to display the jewelry in an upstanding manner on said display base.    
   
   
       14 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said display base is a material selected from the group consisting of glass, plastic, wood, stone, marble and polished metal.  
   
   
       15 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said display base includes a cavity for mounting said first magnetic member in said cavity.  
   
   
       16 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said first magnetic member is selected from the group consisting of bars, rods, cylinders, spheres, and other geometrically-shaped members.  
   
   
       17 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , further including a third magnetic member mounted in or on said display base.  
   
   
       18 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said first magnetic member is a ferromagnetic material selected from the group consisting of steel, iron, ferro-nickle alloys, aluminum-nickle alloys and ceramic or combinations thereof.  
   
   
       19 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said metallic member is selected from the group consisting of bars, rods, cylinders, spheres, and other geometrically-shaped members.  
   
   
       20 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said metallic member is attached to the jewelry by epoxy cement, soldering, welding, acrylic cement, or glue.  
   
   
       21 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said metallic member is attached to the jewelry at a canted angle alpha (α) of at lease 30° with respect to a vertical axis so that the jewelry is displayed at an angle relative to said vertical axis.  
   
   
       22 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said first magnetic member is in or on said display base, and a top surface of said first magnetic member is canted at an angle alpha (α) of at least 30°.

A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 13 , wherein said metallic member is a magnetized metal material made from a ferromagnetic material selected from the group consisting of steel, iron, ferro-nickle alloys, aluminum-nickle alloys and ceramics or a combination thereof.  
   
   
       24 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 23 , wherein said first magnetic member and said magnetized metallic member cooperate to form a magnetic bond for holding together said magnetic member and said magnetized metallic member.  
   
   
       25 . A magnetic display device for displaying a ring, comprising: 
 a) a display base for displaying a ring;    b) a magnetic member mounted on or in said display base;    c) a metallic member attached to a resilient member removably mounted in the ring; and    d) said metallic member being magnetically attached to said magnetic member to display the ring in an upstanding manner on said display base.    
   
   
       26 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 25 , wherein said resilient member is made of flexible plastic or flexible metal.  
   
   
       27 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 25 , wherein said resilient member includes opposite end sections, a center section and a side section.  
   
   
       28 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 27 , wherein said metallic member is attached to said center section and said side section of said resilient member.  
   
   
       29 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 25 , wherein said resilient member is sized and shaped to hold in place various types of men's rings, women's rings, and children's rings.  
   
   
       30 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 25 , wherein said display base is a material selected from the group consisting of glass, plastic, wood, stone, marble and polished metal.

A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 25 , wherein said metallic member is a magnetized metal material made from a ferromagnetic material selected from the group consisting of steel, iron, ferro-nickle alloys, aluminum-nickle alloys and ceramic or combinations thereof.  
   
   
       39 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 38 , wherein said magnetic member and said magnetized metallic member cooperate to form a magnetic bond for holding together said magnetic member and said magnetized metallic member.  
   
   
       40 . A magnetic display device for displaying jewelry, comprising: 
 a) a display base for displaying jewelry;    b) a magnetic member mounted on or in said display base;    c) a metallic member attached to a resilient member removably mounted on said magnetic member; and    d) said metallic member being removably and magnetically attached to said magnetic member to display the jewelry in an upstanding manner on said display base.    
   
   
       41 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 40 , wherein said resilient member is made of flexible plastic or flexible metal.  
   
   
       42 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 40 , wherein said resilient member includes opposite end sections, a center section and a side section.  
   
   
       43 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 42 , wherein said metallic member is attached to said center section and said side section of said resilient member.  
   
   
       44 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 40 , wherein said resilient member is sized and shaped to hold in place various types of jewelry including rings, pendants, pins, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, charms, watches, and combinations thereof.  
   
   
       45 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 40 , wherein said display base is a material selected from the group consisting of glass, plastic, wood, stone, marble and polished metal.

       52 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 51 , wherein said resilient member is canted at an angle beta (β) of at least 10°.

A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 40 , wherein said metallic member is a magnetized metal material made form a ferromagnetic material selected from the group consisting of steel, iron, ferro-nickle alloys, aluminum-nickle alloys and ceramic or combinations thereof.  
   
   
       54 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 53 , wherein said magnetic member and said magnetized metallic member cooperate to form a magnetic bond for holding together said magnetic member and said magnetized metallic member.  
   
   
       55 . A magnetic display device for displaying a ring, comprising: 
 a) a display base for displaying a ring;    b) a plurality of spaced-apart magnetic members mounted on or in said display base;    c) a metallic member attached to a resilient ring support member, the ring being removably mounted on said resilient ring support member; and    d) said metallic member of said resilient ring support member being magnetically attached to said magnetic member to display the ring in an upstanding manner on said display base.    
   
   
       56 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 55 , wherein said resilient ring support member includes a flexible shell housing member having a front concave wall surface and a rear convex wall surface.  
   
   
       57 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 55 , wherein said resilient ring support member has a base for receiving one or more magnetic members therein.  
   
   
       58 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 55 , wherein said resilient ring support member is sized and shaped for holding various types of men's rings, women's rings, and children's rings.  
   
   
       59 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 55 , wherein said display base is a material selected from the group consisting of glass, plastic, wood, stone, marble and polished metal.  
   
   
       60 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 55 , wherein said display base has cavities formed therein for mounting said magnetic members in said cavities.

 a) a display base for displaying jewelry;    b) a plurality of spaced-apart magnetic members mounted on or in said display base;    c) a metallic member attached to a resilient jewelry support member, the jewelry being removably mounted on said resilient jewelry support member; and    d) said metallic member of said resilient jewelry support member being magnetically attached to said magnetic member to display the jewelry in an upstanding manner on said display base.    
   
   
       70 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 69 , wherein said resilient jewelry support member includes a flexible shell housing having a front concave wall surface and a rear convex wall surface.  
   
   
       71 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 70 , wherein said rear convex wall surface includes a base holding section having a pair of cylindrically-shaped compartments for receiving a pair of cylindrically-shaped magnetic rods, respectively, therein.

A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 69 , wherein said resilient jewelry support member is sized and shaped for use in the support and display of rings, earrings, pendants, pins, bracelets, necklaces, charms, watches and combinations thereof for both men's jewelry, women's jewelry, and children's jewelry.  
   
   
       73 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 69 , wherein said display base is a material selected from the group consisting of glass, plastic, wood, stone, marble and polished metal.

 a) a display shelf for displaying jewelry within a display cabinet;    b) a plurality of spaced-apart magnetic members mounted on or in said display shelf;    c) one or more of said display shelves being mounted within said display cabinet;    d) a metallic member attached to the jewelry; and    e) said metallic member being magnetically attached to said magnetic member to display the jewelry in an upstanding manner on said display shelf.    
   
   
       104 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 103 , wherein said metallic member is a magnetized metallic member attached to the jewelry.

 a) a display base for movably mounting a plurality of movable magnetic members on said display base;    b) a display cover member detachably connected to said display base for holding in place said plurality of movable magnetic members in a predetermined orientation on said display base;    c) a metallic member attached to a resilient member removably mounted in the ring; and    d) said metallic member being magnetically attached to said magnetic member to display the ring in an upstanding manner on said display cover member.

       130 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 129 , wherein said top wall of said movable magnetic member includes a pair of openings for receiving a pair of magnetic core elements, respectively, therein.

A magnetic display devise in accordance with  claim 124 , wherein said metallic member is attached to said side of said resilient member, and wherein said resilient member is canted at a angle beta (β) with respect to a vertical axis so that the ring is displayed at an angle relative to said vertical axis.  
   
   
       132 . A magnetic display device in accordance with  claim 131  wherein said resilient member is canted at an angle beta (β) of at least 10°.  
   
   
       133 . A magnetic display device for displaying jewelry, comprising: 
 a) a display base for movably mounting a plurality of movable magnetic members on said display base;    b) a display cover member detachably connected to said display base for holding in place said plurality of movable magnetic members in a predetermined orientation on said display base;    c) a metallic member attached to a resilient jewelry support member removably mounted in the jewelry; and    d) said metallic member being magnetically attached to said magnetic member to display the jewelry in an upstanding manner on said display cover member.

 a) a resilient housing having a concave surface and a convex surface;    b) said resilient housing including a mounting section for receiving one or more magnetic members; and    c) said concave surface for receiving and displaying a piece of jewelry thereon.
