Carrying handle of luggage

Abstract

Either end unit of carrying handle of luggage comprises a joining member including a horizontal section having a first hole, a body including a slot for receiving the horizontal section, a second hole penetrated the slot so that a rivet is driven through the aligned first and second holes into the luggage, a widthwise groove, and a third hole so that another rivet is driven through the third hole into the luggage, an abutment plate including an upward projection, a widthwise protrusion on a bottom, the protrusion being fitted into the groove for holding the abutment plate on the body in place, and widthwise ridges, and a cover including an opening and widthwise slits. The cover is slid onto the body until being stopped by the joining member for covering the rivet with the projection exposed from the opening and the ridges projected from the slits for fastening.

1 . A carrying handle having two end units mounted on a luggage, each end unit comprising: 
 a joining member including a loop with a strap of the carrying handle looped around, and a horizontal section having a first hole;    a body having a section of substantial “T” and including a slot at one end of longitudinal direction for receiving the horizontal section of the joining member, a second hole penetrated the slot, the second hole being aligned with the first hole so that a first fastener is adapted to drive through the first and second holes into the luggage, a widthwise element, and a third hole proximate the other end thereof so that a second fastener is adapted to drive through the third hole into the luggage;    an abutment plate including a widthwise mated element on a bottom, the mated element being firmly fitted into the widthwise element for holding the abutment plate on the body in place; and    a cover having a section of substantial “n”;    wherein the cover is adapted to slide onto the body until being stopped by the loop for covering the fasteners so as to firmly secure the cover onto the abutment plate and the body.    
   
   
       2 . The carrying handle of  claim 1 , wherein an upward projection logo is further formed on the abutment plate and a corresponding opening is further formed on the cover so as to enable the projection logo exposed from the opening of the cover.  
   
   
       3 . The carrying handle of  claim 2 , wherein the projection logo is a substantial rectangular projection on the abutment plate and a substantial rectangular opening on the cover.  
   
   
       4 . The carrying handle of  claim 2 , wherein the projection logo is a number of ridges on the abutment plate and a plurality of corresponding slits on the cover.  
   
   
       5 . The carrying handle of  claim 1 , wherein the element is a protrusion and the mated element is a groove.  
   
   
       6 . The carrying handle of  claim 1 , wherein the element is a groove and the mated element is a protrusion.  
   
   
       7 . The carrying handle of  claim 1 , wherein each of the fasteners is a rivet.  
   
   
       8 . The carrying handle of  claim 1 , wherein the horizontal section of the joining member is integrally formed with the slot of the body.  
   
   
       9 . The carrying handle of  claim 1 , wherein the joining member is formed of metal.  
   
   
       10 . The carrying handle of  claim 1 , wherein the joining member is of an upwardly inclined loop.  
   
   
       11 . The carrying handle of  claim 1 , wherein each of the body and the abutment plate is formed of plastic material.  
   
   
       12 . A carrying handle having two end units mounted on a luggage, each end unit comprising: 
 a joining member including an upwardly inclined loop with a strap of the carrying handle looped around, and a horizontal section having a first hole;    a body having a section of substantial “T” and including a slot at one end of longitudinal direction for receiving the horizontal section of the joining member, a second hole penetrated the slot, the second hole being aligned with the first hole so that a first fastener is adapted to drive through the first and second holes into the luggage, a widthwise element, and a third hole proximate the other end thereof so that a second fastener is adapted to drive through the third hole into the luggage;    an abutment plate including an upward projection proximate one end, a widthwise mated element on a bottom, the mated element being firmly fitted into the widthwise element for holding the abutment plate on the body in place, and a plurality of widthwise ridges proximate the other end thereof; and    a cover having a section of substantial “n” and including an opening proximate one end and a plurality of widthwise slits proximate the other end thereof;    wherein the cover is adapted to slide onto the body until being stopped by the loop for covering the fasteners with the projection exposed from the opening and the ridges projected from the slits so as to firmly secure the cover onto the abutment plate and the body.
