Abstract
In one embodiment, the methods and apparatuses include a shell surface comprising: a front portion having a continuous surface for protecting a user from contamination, wherein the continuous surface provides a barrier between the contamination and the user, wherein the front portion protects a chest and abdomen area of the user from the contamination; an arm portion connected to the front portion, wherein the arm portion protects the arm from contamination; and a leg portion connected to the front portion, wherein the leg portion is configured to protect a leg of the user; a first fastener coupled to the leg portion for fastening the leg portion around the leg of the user; and a second fastener coupled to the front portion for fastening the front portion to the user wherein the second fastener is configured to attach the front portion to a side portion of the user, wherein the shell surface is configured to attach to the user through the first fastener and the second fastener while a portion of a back of the user is blocked.

a. a shell surface comprising:
i. a front portion having a continuous surface for protecting a user from contamination, wherein the continuous surface provides a barrier between the contamination and the user, wherein the front portion protects a chest and abdomen area of the user from the contamination;
ii. an arm portion connected to the front portion, wherein the arm portion allows the user to place an arm within the arm portion and protecting the arm from contamination;
iii. a leg portion connected to the front portion, wherein the leg portion is configured to wrap around a leg of the user; and
iv. a back portion connected to the front portion, wherein the back portion is open and leaves a back of the user substantially uncovered and allows the back of the user to breathe;
b. a first fastener coupled to the leg portion for fastening the leg portion around the leg of the user; and c. a second fastener coupled to the back portion for fastening the back portion around the back of the user, wherein the shell surface is configured to attach to the user through the first fastener and the second fastener while a portion of the back of the user is blocked.
2 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the first fastener is a button.
3 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the first fastener is a snap fastener.
4 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the first fastener is a hook and loop fastener.
5 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the first fastener is a strap.
6 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the shell surface is a paper material covered with a wax surface.
7 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the shell surface is a non-woven breathable and water-resistant material.
8 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the shell surface is a non-woven, coated material that is airtight and completely water resistant.
9 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the first fastener is a peel-off adhesive strip.
10 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the arm portion has elastic straps to prevent the contamination from reaching the garment
11 . The garment of claim 1 wherein the shell surface is water resistant.
12 . A garment comprising:
a. a shell surface comprising:
i. a front portion having a continuous surface for protecting a user from contamination, wherein the continuous surface provides a barrier between the contamination and the user, wherein the front portion protects a chest and abdomen area of the user from the contamination;
ii. an arm portion connected to the front portion, wherein the arm portion allows the user to place an arm through the arm portion and protecting the arm from contamination; and
iii. a leg portion connected to the front portion, wherein the leg portion is configured to wrap around a leg of the user;
b. a first fastener coupled to the leg portion for fastening the leg portion around the leg of the user; and c. a second fastener coupled to the front portion for fastening the front portion to the user wherein the second fastener is configured to attach the front portion to a side portion of the user, wherein the shell surface is configured to attach to the user through the first fastener and the second fastener while a portion of a back of the user is blocked.
13 . The garment according to claim 12 further comprising a third fastener coupled to the front portion for securely fastening the front portion to the user wherein the third fastener is configure to attach the front portion to a front surface of the user.
14 . A method comprising,
placing an arm of a child through a sleeve portion of a protective garment; fastening a front surface of the protective garment to a front portion of the user with a front fastener, wherein a back portion of the user is inaccessible; and fastening a leg portion of the protective garment to a leg of the user with a leg fastener, wherein a back portion of the user's leg is inaccessible.
15 . The method of claim 14 wherein the protective garment is water resistant.
16 . The method of claim 14 wherein the front fastener is configured to fasten the front surface of the protective garment to another portion of the front surface of the protective garment.
17 . The method of claim 14 wherein the front fastener is configured to fasten the front surface of the protective garment to a side portion of the user.
