Claims

Abstract

This invention is a personal care storage container with a storage base with outer and inner walls and a floor connected generally perpendicularly to the walls. This creates an opening opposite from the storage base floor and with an edge along the perimeter of the walls opposite from the base floor and a lid with outer and inner surfaces generally perpendicular to the lid surfaces and with an edge along the perimeter of the surfaces opposite from the cup top. The storage base and lid interconnect to create a water tight closed container. This interconnection can be accomplished by a pair of coordinating ledges on the respective edges of the storage base and the lid to a create a water-tight friction fit connection. The lid can be configured such that when it is inverted it can be placed on a horizontal surface and it will remain in a stable inverted position for use as a gargle/wash cup. The lid can be configured such that it is of a decorative configuration. The device can have a plurality of vertical pockets within the storage base that are of various sizes and depths. An organizer can coordinate with the inner walls of the storage base and contain a plurality of apertures of various shapes and sizes to separate the various items stored in the container. A plurality of parallel mounting slots are contained in the outer surface of one side of the base cup. A receiving bracket that can be attached to a vertical surface accepts the mounting slot in the base cup. A UV sanitizing light can be mounted in the lid or the storage base. Alternately, a UV sanitizing light can be mounted in an intermediate lid that is inserted between the storage base and the lid.

1 . I claim a personal care storage container comprising: 
 a storage base with outer and inner walls and a floor connected generally perpendicularly to the walls, creating an opening opposite from the storage base floor and with an edge along the perimeter of the walls opposite from the base floor;    a lid with outer and inner surfaces and a lid top generally perpendicular to the lid surfaces and with an edge along the perimeter of the surfaces opposite from the lid top;    a means of interconnecting the storage base and the lid to create a water tight closed container.    
   
   
       2 . The device as claimed in  1  above where the lid contains a UV light for sanitizing the contents.  
   
   
       3 . The device as claimed in  1  above where the storage base contains a UV light for sanitizing the contents.  
   
   
       4 . The device as claimed in  1  above where an intermediate sanitizing lid with two ends contains a UV light for sanitizing the contents, interconnects with the base container at one end and the lid at the other end.  
   
   
       5 . The device as claimed in  1  above wherein the means of interconnecting the storage base and the cup lid are a pair of coordinating ledges on the respective edges of the storage base and the lid to a create a water-tight friction fit connection.  
   
   
       6 . The device as claimed in  1  above wherein the lid is configured such that when it is inverted it can be placed on a horizontal surface and remain in a stable inverted position.  
   
   
       7 . The device as claimed in  1  above wherein the lid is configured such that it can be inverted and used as a gargle/wash cup.  
   
   
       8 . The device as claimed in  1  above wherein the lid is configured such that it is of a decorative configuration.  
   
   
       9 . The device as claimed in  1  above wherein a plurality of vertical pockets are created within the storage base and the depth, size, and shape of each pocket may vary.  
   
   
       10 . The device as claimed in  1  above wherein an organizer coordinates with the inner walls of the storage base and contains a plurality of apertures of various shapes and sizes.  
   
   
       11 . The device as claimed in  1  above wherein the storage base contains a means to removably connect to a receiving bracket that can be mounted on a wall.  
   
   
       12 . The device as claimed in  1  wherein organizer has a plurality of apertures but at least one of the apertures fits a manual toothbrush handle.  
   
   
       13 . The device as claimed in  1  wherein the organizer has a plurality of apertures but at least one of the apertures fits a motorized toothbrush.  
   
   
       14 . The device as claimed in  1  wherein the organizer has a plurality of apertures but at least one of the apertures fits a dental toothpick handle.  
   
   
       15 . The device as claimed in  1  wherein the organizer has a plurality of apertures but at least one of the apertures fits a tube of toothpaste.
