Abstract
An anchor member securing system includes a securing member and a rebar cage structure secured to the member. The securing system may include at least a first foundation placement guide. The anchor members may comprise mudsill anchors and anchor bolts, and the system provides more exact placement of the member or members in a foundation.
Claims

a securing member having a securing region extending in a generally upward direction; and a rebar cage structure secured to the member and having at least a first foundation placement guide.
2 . The system of claim 1 wherein the securing member is a mudsill anchor.
3 . The system of claim 2 wherein the securing region comprises securing straps.
4 . The system of claim 1 wherein the securing member is an anchor bolt.
5 . The system of claim 4 wherein the securing region is a threaded region.
6 . The system of claim 1 wherein the cage structure includes a top bar and a bottom bar, and the securing member is attached to said top and said bottom bar.
7 . The system of claim 6 wherein the rebar cage structure includes a second base bar and first and second side bars forming a rectangular base for said cage structure.
8 . The system of claim 7 wherein said rectangular base includes securing structures positioned in a plane formed by said rectangle.
9 . The system of claim 1 wherein the system includes said securing member and a second securing member.
10 . The system of claim 1 wherein the foundation placement guide comprises a form positioning structure.
11 . The system of claim 10 wherein the foundation placement guide includes a horizontal portion indicating a proper distance of said structure from a foundation concrete form.
12 . The system of claim 10 wherein the horizontal portion includes at least one bore allowing a fastener therethrough.
13 . The system of claim 10 including at least two foundation placement guides.
14 . The system of claim 10 wherein the foundation placement guide is attached to the top bar.
15 . The system of claim 5 wherein the securing bolt includes an end nut opposite to the threaded region.
16 . The system of claim 5 wherein the securing bolt includes an S-shaped end opposite to the threaded region.

The system of claim 1 wherein the cage structure includes at least a top bar, at least one bottom bar, a first side bar, and a second side bar, each side bar connecting the top bar and the at least one bottom bar, and said securing member is coupled to said top bar and said at least one bottom bar.

The system of claim 17 wherein the cage structure includes at least a front bottom bar and a rear bottom bar, and a first base bar and a second base bar, wherein each base bar has a first end coupled to said forward bottom bar and a second end couple to said rear bottom bar, thereby forming a rectangular base.

The system of claim 18 wherein the cage structure includes a first support bar and a second support bar, the first support bar connected to said top bar and an intersection of said first base bar and front bottom bar, and the second support bar connected to said top bar and an intersection of said second side bar and front bottom bar.
20 . The system of claim 19 including at least two securing members coupled to said top bar and said front bottom bar.

The system of claim 1 wherein the cage structure includes at least a top bar, at least one bottom bar, a first support bar and a second support bar, the first and second support bars connecting said top bar and said at least one bottom bar, and said securing member is coupled to said top bar and said at least one bottom bar.

The system of claim 17 wherein the cage structure includes at least a front bottom bar and a rear bottom bar, and a first base bar and a second base bar, wherein each base bar has a first end coupled to said forward bottom bar and a second end couple to said rear bottom bar, thereby forming a rectangular base.

The system of claim 18 wherein the cage structure includes a first support bar and a second support bar, and a third support bar and a fourth support bar, the first support bar connected to said top bar and an intersection of said first base bar and front bottom bar, and the second support bar connected to said top bar and an intersection of said second side bar and front bottom bar, the third support bar connected to said top bar and an intersection of said first base bar and rear bottom bar, and the second support bar connected to said top bar and an intersection of said second side bar and rear bottom bar.
24 . An anchoring system for a shear wall, comprising:
at least one anchor member designed secure the shear wall to a foundation element; and a foundation cage secured to said at least one anchor member.
25 . The system of claim 24 wherein the foundation cage is comprised of rebar.
26 . The system of claim 24 wherein the foundation cage includes a top bar and at least one bottom bar, and the anchor member is attached to said top and said at least one bottom bar.
27 . The system of claim 24 wherein the foundation cage includes a first and a second bottom bars and first and second base bars, each said base bar connecting the first base bar to the second base bar to form a rectangular base for said foundation cage.
28 . The system of claim 27 wherein said rectangular base includes securing structures coupled to at least one of said first or second bottom bars.
29 . The system of claim 24 wherein the system includes at least a first anchor member and a second anchor member.
30 . The system of claim 24 wherein the foundation cage includes at least one placement guide.
31 . The system of claim 30 wherein the placement guide comprises a form positioning structure.
32 . The system of claim 31 wherein the foundation placement guide includes a horizontal portion indicating a proper distance of said structure from a foundation form.
33 . The system of claim 32 wherein the horizontal portion includes at least one bore allowing a fastener there through.
34 . The system of claim 30 including at least two foundation placement guides.
35 . The system of claim 30 wherein the foundation placement guide is attached to the top bar.
36 . The system of claim 24 wherein the securing member is an anchor bolt and includes a threaded region and an end nut opposite to the threaded region.
37 . The system of claim 24 wherein the securing member is an anchor bolt and includes a threaded region and an S-shaped end opposite to the threaded region.
38 . The system of claim 24 wherein the securing member is a mudsill anchor.
39 . An anchor system for a building, comprising;
an anchor member having a securing end; and a cage secured to the anchor member in a fixed position relative to the member so that the securing end of the member extends above the cage, and having a foundation positioning structure.
40 . The system of claim 39 wherein the anchor member is an anchor bolt.
41 . The system of claim 40 wherein the securing end is a threaded end.
42 . The system of claim 39 wherein the anchor member is a mudsill anchor.
43 . The system of claim 39 wherein the securing end is a securing strap.
44 . The system of claim 39 wherein the cage structure includes a top bar and a bottom bar, and the anchor member is attached to said top and said bottom bar.
45 . The system of claim 39 wherein the rebar cage structure includes a second base bar and first and second side bars forming a rectangular base for said cage structure.

53 . The system of claim 50 wherein the foundation placement guide is attached to the top bar by a vertical portion.

56 . A foundation support system for a building, comprising:
a first anchor bolt having a threaded end; a second anchor bolt having a threaded end; a cage structure having a top and bottom portions, the first and second anchor bolts being secured to at least said top and bottom portions such that the threaded end of each said first and second anchor bolt extends above the top portion; and a positioning structure coupled to the cage structure.
57 . The system of claim 56 wherein the cage structure includes a top bar and a bottom bar, and the anchor bolts are attached to said top and said bottom bar.
58 . The system of claim 56 wherein the cage structure includes a second base bar and first and second side bars forming a rectangular base for said cage structure.

The system of claim 56 wherein the bottom portion includes at least a front bottom bar and a rear bottom bar, and a first base bar and a second base bar, wherein each base bar has a first end coupled to said forward bottom bar and a second end couple to said rear bottom bar, thereby forming a rectangular base.

The system of claim 59 wherein the cage structure includes a first support bar and a second support bar, the first support bar connected to said top bar and an intersection of said first base bar and front bottom bar, and the second support bar connected to said top bar and an intersection of said second side bar and front bottom bar.

The system of claim 56 wherein the cage structure includes at least a top bar, at least one bottom bar, a first support bar and a second support bar, the first and second support bars connecting said top bar and said at least one bottom bar, and said securing bolt is coupled to said top bar and said at least one bottom bar.

The system of claim 61 wherein the cage structure includes at least a front bottom bar and a rear bottom bar, and a first base bar and a second base bar, wherein each base bar has a first end coupled to said forward bottom bar and a second end couple to said rear bottom bar, thereby forming a rectangular base.
63 . An apparatus, comprising:
means for securing a preformed structure to a foundation; and means for positioning the means for securing in a foundation, the means for securing being attached to the means for securing.
64 . A method for constructing a foundation, comprising:
coupling at least one anchor member to a rebar cage foundation support; placing the rebar cage in a position in the foundation by aligning a positioning member on the cage relative to a foundation form; and pouring concrete in the foundation form.
65 . The method of claim 64 including coupling at least two anchor members to the rebar cage.
