Abstract

Portable cleaning appliance comprising a body ( 1, 2 ) provided with handgrip means ( 4 ) and with an interchangeable rotating cleaning tool ( 3 ), the said body containing the drive means ( 5 ) of the said tool ( 3 ) and the power supply means ( 6 ) of the said drive means ( 5, 105, 115, 205, 305, 315 ); there is formed in the said body ( 1, 2 ) a pipe ( 102 ) which at one end opens onto the said rotating cleaning tool ( 3 ), with which it is in fluid communication, and at the other end ( 112 ) is connectable to means for generating a stream of fluid.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Portable cleaning appliance comprising a body ( 1 , 2 ) provided with handgrip means ( 4 ) and with an interchangeable rotating cleaning tool ( 3 ), the said body containing the drive means ( 5 ) of the said tool ( 3 ) and the power supply means ( 6 ) of the said drive means ( 5 , 105 , 115 , 215 , 205 , 305 , 315 ), which appliance is characterized in that there is formed in the said body ( 1 , 2 ) a pipe ( 102 ) which at one end opens onto the said rotating cleaning tool ( 3 ), with which it is in fluid communication, and at the other end ( 112 ) is connectable to means for generating a stream of fluid.

       2 . Appliance according to claim 1 , characterized in that the said drive means comprise an electric motor ( 5 ) and transmission means ( 105 , 115 , 215 , 205 , 305 , 315 ), the said transmission means being enclosed in a shell ( 2 ) connected to the body ( 1 ) of the said appliance by a plate ( 101 ) provided with sealing means ( 121 ).

       3 . Portable cleaning appliance comprising a body ( 1 , 2 ) provided with handgrip means ( 4 ) and with an interchangeable rotating cleaning tool ( 3 ), the said body ( 1 , 2 ) containing the drive means ( 5 , 105 , 115 , 215 , 205 , 305 , 315 ) of the said tool ( 3 ) and the power supply means ( 6 ) of the said drive means, in which the said handgrip means comprise a handle ( 4 ) hinged to the said body ( 1 ), means ( 214 , 314 , 425 , 204 , 304 ; 511 , 611 , 464 , 471 ) being provided for locking the relative positions of the said body ( 1 ) and the said handle ( 4 ):

4 . Appliance according to claim 3 , in which the power supply means ( 6 ) of the said appliance are located in the said handle ( 4 ).

5 . Appliance according to claim 4 , characterized in that, at the mutually hinged ends ( 301 , 104 ) of the said body ( 1 ) and of the said handle ( 4 ), there are sliding contacts ( 416 , 316 , 506 , 425 ) having essentially cylindrical symmetry about the pivot axis of the said handle ( 4 ), so as to ensure the power supply irrespective of the relative angles of the said body ( 1 ) and the said handle ( 4 ).

6 . Appliance according to claim 4 , characterized in that, at the mutually hinged ends ( 401 , 404 ) of the said body ( 1 ) and of the said handle ( 4 ) there are apertures ( 441 , 434 ) for the passage of the conductors ( 515 ) connecting the said drive means to the said power supply means ( 6 ).
