Abstract

An insulated wall system for a basement with foundation concrete walls that are nearly adjacently disposed to masonry block or concrete walls. The insulated wall system has a plurality of vertical metal studs with C or U-shaped cross-sections forming a plurality of cavities nearly adjacent to the interior concrete walls. There is also a plurality of fiberglass insulation sections that are frictionally fit in the plurality of cavities and a plurality of fire retardant sheets or skrims of drywall that are attached to the plurality of vertical metal studs thereby holding the plurality of fiberglass insulation sections within the insulated wall system.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An insulated wall system for a basement with interior concrete walls that is nearly adjacently disposed to the interior concrete walls, comprising:
a plurality of vertical metal studs with c and u-shaped cross-sections forming a plurality of cavities nearly adjacent to the foundation concrete walls; a plurality of fiberglass insulation sections that are frictionally fit in the plurality of cavities; and a plurality of fire retardant sheets and skrims that are attached to the plurality of vertical metal studs thereby holding the plurality of fiberglass insulation sections within the insulated wall system.

2 . The insulated wall system according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of fiberglass insulation sections is glued into the plurality of cavities.

3 . The insulated wall system according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of fire retardant sheets is made of drywall.

4 . The insulated wall system according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of fire retardant sheets and skrims are attached to the plurality of vertical metal studs with drywall screws.

5 . The insulated wall system according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of fire retardant sheets and skrims are attached to the plurality of vertical metal studs with pneumatic staples.
