Hip hauler

Abstract

The invented device comprises a waist belt and six (or more) molded slide-on plastic snap hooks. The waist belt is composed of a buckle at one end and a latch at the other end and a belt of adjustable length. The molded slide-on plastic snap hooks are positioned evenly around the length of the belt with the snap closures facing out away from the wearer's body. The looped handles of plastic or other bags filled with groceries or other items can then be hooked into the snap hooks and carried hanging from the waist belt. Consequently the user can carry more items farther distances with hands unencumbered.

1 . A waist belt apparatus for carrying filled plastic grocery or other bags by hooking the loop handles of filled plastic grocery or other bags onto the waist belt apparatus including: 
 A waist belt means adapted to be secured around the waist of the user and having two waist belt ends, plastic buckle means on said waist belt means for securing the waist belt ends together and for adjusting the length of the waist belt means;    Six (or more) molded plastic snap hook means being engaged with the waist belt means but free to slide throughout the length of the waist belt means;    
   
   
       2 . The apparatus of  claim 1  wherein: 
 Said belt means is made of sturdy woven fiber or other appropriate material.
