Abstract
A method of supplying a lubricant to a roller bearing of a high-speed spindle includes pressuring the lubricant in a pump chamber and discharging the pressurized lubricant within the pump chamber from the nozzle. Also, the method includes bringing a fine quantity of lubricant discharged from the nozzle into direct contact with a lubricating surface of a rotary body of the roller bearing.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of supplying a lubricant to a rolling bearing of a high-speed spindle, the method comprising the steps of:
pressuring the lubricant in a pump chamber; discharging the pressurized lubricant within the pump chamber from the nozzle; and bringing a fine quantity of lubricant discharged from the nozzle into direct contact with a lubricating surface of a rotary body of the rolling bearing.
2 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 1 , further comprising:
supplying the lubricant from a lubricant tank to the pump chamber via a first flow passage; supplying the lubricant from the pump chamber to the nozzle via a second flow passage; and discharging the lubricant from the nozzle in a discharge quantity of 0.0005 cc/shot-0.01 cc/shot at a speed of 10 m/sec-100 m/sec.
3 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 1 , further comprising:
supplying the lubricant from a lubricant tank to the pump chamber via a first flow passage; supplying the lubricant from the pump chamber to the nozzle via a second flow passage; and discharging the lubricant from the nozzle in a discharge quantity of 0.001 ml/shot as the minimum discharge quantity per operation.
4 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 2 , wherein a flow passage sectional area of the first flow passage is larger than a sectional area of a discharge opening of the nozzle.
5 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 3 , wherein a flow passage sectional area of the first flow passage is larger than a sectional area of a discharge opening of the nozzle.
6 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 1 , wherein the nozzle discharges the lubricant in a pin-spot manner so that the lubricant is brought into direct contact with the lubricating surface of the rotary body of the rolling bearing without force of air.
7 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 1 , further comprising:
sucking the lubricant into the pump chamber via a cylinder, wherein the cylinder has a piston slidably disposed in an interior portion thereof and has the pump chamber disposed in the interior portion thereof, the cylinder having a suction port for sucking the lubricant into the pump chamber, the cylinder being connected to the nozzle via a pipe, compressing the lubricant within the pump chamber with the piston to increase the pressure within the cylinder, and thereby discharging the lubricant externally from the nozzle.
8 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 7 , further comprising a check valve interposed between the pump chamber and the pipe.
9 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 1 , further comprising:
detecting a rotation speed of rotary body of a roller bearing using a rotation speed detector; and adjusting a discharge quantity of the lubricant in accordance with the detected rotation speed.
10 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 1 , wherein the nozzle discharges the fine quantity of lubricant, as the lubricant, intermittently when the fine quantity of lubricant is compressed and its pressure increases.
11 . A method of supplying a lubricant to a rolling bearing of a high-speed spindle, the method comprising the steps of:
pressuring the lubricant in a pump chamber, the pump chamber being filled with the lubricant; discharging the pressurized lubricant within the pump chamber from the nozzle; and bringing a fine quantity of lubricant discharged from the nozzle into direct contact with a lubricating surface of a rotary body of the rolling bearing.
12 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 11 , wherein the nozzle discharges the fine quantity of lubricant, as the lubricant, by its own pressure intermittently.
13 . The method of supplying a lubricant according to claim 11 , wherein the nozzle discharges the fine quantity of lubricant, as the lubricant, intermittently when the fine quantity of lubricant is compressed and its pressure increases.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
